Kamran Shahid, the host of Express News’ prime time showFront Line, has switched over to DunyaTv, reported the media comment website JournalismPakistan.com.pk on Friday.


Shahid had come under fire for a few of his shows especially one where he had invited Barrister Saif and Talal Bugti as guests via a phone in. The Barrister, who had been considered a right hand man of former dictator General Pervez Musharraf, went on an abusive tirade against the disgruntled Baloch leader, even threatening him with physical harm live on television with Kamran Shahid watching as a spectator.


Shahid had not been hosting his regular 8pm show for the past two weeks with a temporary host filling in.

Journalism Pakistan, in a second story, said that senior journalist and anchor Syed Talat Hussain has also made the move to Express from DawnNews, probably ushering in a prime time revamp.

Talat Hussain joins Express media group

Veteran journalist and renowned anchorperson Syed Talat Hussain has switched to Express media group from Dawn TV, Express TV management sources confirm.

Talat Hussain will be hosting a current affairs show and writing regularly for various publications of the group.

Hussain will be hosting a primetime show from September 1 in lieu of Kamran Shahid, who was previously the host of Front Line on Express News.

Shahid received widespread criticism for a few of his shows, particularly the one in which he invited Barrister Saif and Talal Bugti as guests via a phone in.

The Barrister, who was considered a close aide of former dictator General Pervez Musharraf, went on an abusive tirade
against the disgruntled Baloch leader, even threatening him with physical harm live on television with Kamran Shahid watching as a spectator.

anchors have right to switch over channels if the channel owner agrees on their terms and conditions and paying them better.. what will you do if you will be offered a better salaried job then your current job?

Anchors are now playing a very important part in waking up the society(seway kuch kameeno kay) , It does not matter if one move from one company to another, Here professional having experience of around 8 - 10 yrs work for a company and when have better chance in term of money, move to another company and if come back to the same company after some time, it does not matter he/she is always welcome if is honest to his/her duty. By duty i mean duty, nukari company kay leya kisi ke zath ke nokri nahi. wasay be yaha houshamdi karnay walay ko achi nazar say nahi daika jatha. pasay kam kay milthay hain, chamchagiri ke nahi, anyway, moving around is no problem untill one is honest to his / her duty.

Kamran shahid is 2 number insan.go and check the topics of discussion in few of his shows.he always tries to raise adult issues to gain ratings.veena malik and mufti ki larai kerwai.

Yes we do switch if our needs are not fulfilled in current salary. But what is limit? If a person getting 10 Lakh at one job and he switch if someone offer him 12 lakh !!! Is 10 lakh a month is not good salary ???
