they are NOT made to run in bankruptcy either!! Just because something is subsidies doesn't mean that it burdens the taxpayer!!

A transportation project should solve transportation issues in a city, not benefit a very small part.

I have seen that thing running in Multan now for at least 3 years! It runs empty most of the time! Who will pay for the the cost when it is not making any profit? You are as a taxpayer! I mentioned earlier if something is NOT making profit then it is a burden on the nation. BUT I guess that is not important.

yes i agree before going for such projects govt. should do the survey if people can afford minimum price ticket to sustain the project but governments are not there to make profits. If you want to earn profit privatize it.

that is dog chasing its own tail! Greece is one instance where projects like these have destroyed their economy! The book 'confessions of an economic hitman' explains it very well.
