Few months back I reckon it was Shaheen Sehbai who wrote an article in which he made some suggestions to handle the multi-faceted problems and crises facing this spurious state of Pakistan. At that time there was a hue and cry about the content of that article and now the same thing has been mentioned in todays programme by everyone except this pseudo-intellectual and analyst Ayaz Amir.
With all due respect to Mr Amir is that can he name even a single military operation in Pakistan for the last 62 years which have produced some positive results? If not and certainly the answer would be in resounding negative then how come hes supporting this mismanaged, plan-less, direction-less and blind barbaric operation when in the past we have bore the brunt of these operations and in the same process weakened and dismembered this state. He talks about American civil war of nineteen century but would he forget to mention the prosperity and development that hegemonic state has achieved ever since the end of that civil war.
Where states like Pakistan cant ensure the socio-economic welfare of its deprived communities and inhabitants for more than a 2/3rd of a century then how come real peace and harmony can exists in such states. The only thing which can save Pakistan now is to restore the sense of rationality among its decision makers and power brokers. That rationality should leads them to call a blunt quit of this so called slavish co-operation of this senseless war on terror with US and its allies, to seal its western borders with Afghanistan and make a pledge in the next 100 years to not interfere within the matters of its neighbours for any evil gains, declare the autonomy of all provinces of Pakistan and divide them on demographic basis in order to make them more conducive for effective administration, especially Punjab, restore the security, educational and health emergencies with immediate effect, making the constitution of Pakistan as its guiding force and adopt a single monolithic system whether it would be a democratic or theocratic setup.
These of the steps are necessary and primordial in nature and therefore must be adopted in the beginning and then later steps can be taken when those which are mentioned above are implemented and substantiated with utter goodwill and sincerity. Until and unless these staeps are taken by the Pakistani establishment they can't restore any peace and stability in this state and mentally they should prepare themselves for the dismemberment of Pakistan as many political analysts are professing in the last few months. And not even Almighty will help this state to retain its current federation and we have ourselves and this rotten military and bureaucratic establishments to blame as usual for this tragedy of Pakistan if that probability turned out to be in an eventuality.
People like Dr Shahid Masood and others should stop blaming these incompetent, highly ineffective and power-less bunch of buffoons which we term them as political leaderships and its clout. Ever since the judicial murder of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto the Pakistani establishment has learnt this hard lesson to not transfer the power in its entirety to the civilian setup and ever since the military coup of July 1977 the civilian setups of Pakistan are only getting limited ambits of power with small durations and severe monitoring from the boot polishing GHQ. These media personalities should stop lynching these irrelevant politicians on national media outlets and stop wasting the 100000s hours of airtime soliciting and advocating the ineptness and hollowness of these political parties and their leaders. Rather this media should focus entirely on the real masters and issues of Pakistan.
