i honestly cannot defend the regimes in libya, syria, etc. but i feel revolted by the fact that that the west has suddenly become so insistent on "regime change" there. after all, gaddafi was until a few months ago regarded as the west's new best friend in the middle east, and as for syria, the us used to send prisoners there for torture before the CIA decided to have its own secret prisons so they could do the torture themselves rather than "ousourcing" it. they still send innocent people to saudi arabia and egypt for torture. even though mubarak has stepped down and even if gaddafi goes down, they both will still leave lives testifying that crime pays. the true hypocrisy of the west is really being shown now. combine with the fact that bin laden had been living in luxury for all these years so close to the capital of pakistan, the true nature of the way things really are in the world has now been revealed. i hope gaddafi goes down fighting and takes more than a few nato and us planes down with him. i will rejoice when he goes down, but the least he can do is show the western hypocrites a thing or two before he goes.
