LAHORE Gangsters on Wednesday successfully hit the provincial capital for 20 times, robbed seven residences, looted families and motorists, and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth millions of rupees besides three cars and four motorcycles, police sources said.
As per details, armed bandits held up the family of Ali Hammad Agha at gunpoint in the Gulshan-e-Ravi police area and snatched away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs1.2 million.
Robbers barged into the house of Munawar in the Township police precincts and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs800,000 after holding the inmates hostage at gunpoint. Three robbers stormed into the house of Malik Nadeem in the Hanjarwal police vicinity, held up the family members at gunpoint and fled away after collecting cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs700,000.
Gunmen forced their entry into the house of Hamayun situated in the Hadiara police jurisdiction and escaped after collecting cash, gold ornaments, cellular phones and other valuables worth Rs600,000. Robbers also looted cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs500,000 from the residence of Naveed in the Sherakot police precincts while gunmen snatched away cash and valuables worth Rs500,000 from the house of Najam-ud-Din situated in the Shadman police area.
Armed bandits also robbed three houses situated in the Wahdat Colony, Gulshan-e-Ravi and Faisal Town police areas and fled away after collecting cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs1.1 million at gunpoint.
Raja Fayyaz along with his family was on his way home when two gunmen riding on a motorcycle stopped him in the Naseerabad police area and snatched away cash and valuables worth Rs100,000 at gunpoint.
Yar Muhammad and his family were deprived of cash and valuables worth Rs90,000 at gunpoint in the Mustafa Town police area; while motorcyclists snatched away cash, gold ornaments and mobile phones worth Rs100,000 from Naeem-ul-Hassan and his family in limits of Mughalpura police.
Meanwhile, three cars were stolen away from the Lytton Road, Naseerabad and Gowalmandi police precincts; while four motorcycles were either snatched or stolen away from the Lower mall, Nishtar Colony, Johar Town and Lohari Gate police areas.
