Compare it with the previous Nazims/Mayors and you will realize Karachi is much better off. People have hated Mohajirs for 60 years because the Feudals, Industrialists, Beaurocracy, Army did not want educated middle class in the country. They preferred illiteracy like in Punjab, NWFP, Baluchistan and rural Sindh. Now is the time everyone who wants educated middle class in Pakistan should raise above racism/provincialism and support parties of middle class from their constituencies. it's Time to reject Mullahs, rich/corrupt leaders like Nawaz and Zardari, Martial law, corrupt ex-sportsman like Imran etc etc and the list goes on. Support someone like you in elections to secure a bright future for your kids.
im agree syd but u want the people of pakistan to get rid of corrupt wadera jageerdaar mullahs but vote vote for a facist so call middle class who they start politics in name of mohajir and then kill 25 thousand mohajir and now they r enjoying a life fron honda 50 to london limosines
Lets be fair here. Two things:
1. I know in Lahore during monsoon season Shabaaz Sharif does his best that this kind of situation doesn't happen but still our drainage system has it's capacity and we face Chock-a-block situation in Lahore as well.
2. MK said last night on TV that he cannot fight Allah. And i think it makes sense.

Nazim ka kia k asoor hay, poora away ka awa he bigra hoa hay, karachi has huge potential but poor infra structure, policing and management has led to this disaster. It's not organised to cope with any natural disaster, rich stay in their mansions while poor people suffer and die. It won't take years but decades to construct and develop infra structure but only if administration isn't corrupt...

That means not that MK has to change this system in some years....This project will take more that 10 years to change all drain system to fight against Monsoon rain....

Shortage of Electricity is Proving main Reason for not drainage of Water
According to BBC Site, the Sewerage Pumping Stations are not working due to shortage of Electricity, causing the main reason of water gathering.
