That's what I thought, so if KPK gets 'Pesco' it doesn't mean that it will get control of generation, distribution and bill collections ? All three of them. (Please explain I would appreciate it a lot) Thanks

I believe that they are talking about management of the power supply company, not of generation and distribution. Maintenance of dams is a difficult and expensive affair. As for distribution, the center knows that if KPK gets control of its own power, then Punjab will lose almost 1000MW, and KPK will be surplus in power generation.

The offer that Imran made, as I understand it, is the same as one made by Asad Umar in a talk show on power issues, and that was to gain complete control of Discos in KPK, so that the KPK govt is responsible for stemming power theft and collection of dues. Currently, the PESCO employees answer to the federal govt, and since the fed govt is corrupt, so are the employees of PESCO, or any other Disco for that matter. As a result, they facilitate power theft for the rich and famous, and conduct raids on small scale businesses for show and tell. However, with the control in KPKs hands, PESCO employees will be forced to straighten themselves, as has been the case with KPK police and patwaris.

اسلام آباد: وفاقی وزیر پانی وبجلی خواجہ آصف نے بجلی چوری روکنے کے لئے پشاور الیکٹرک سپلائی کمپنی (پیسکو) کا کنٹرول تحریک انصاف کے چیئرمین عمران خان کو دینے کی تجویز قبول کرلی ہے۔

ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق خواجہ آصف نے اپنے ایک بیان میں پشاور الیکٹرک سپلائی کمپنی کا کنٹرول عمران خان کو دینے کی تجویز قبول کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ صوبہ خیبرپختونخوا کی حکومت یکم جنوری سے وزارت پانی وبجلی سے پیسکو کا کنٹرول اپنے ہاتھ میں لے سکتی ہے اور اگر اس طرح صوبائی حکومت بجلی کی چوری کو روک سکتی ہے اور بجلی کا نظام بہتر بنا سکتی ہے تو وفاقی حکومت کو اس میں کوئی اعتراض نہیں۔

واضح رہے کہ اس سے قبل وزیر مملکت برائے پانی وبجلی عابد شیر علی نے کہا تھا کہ خیبر پختونخوا کے 70 فیصد فیڈرز سے بجلی چوری ہوتی ہے جس کے جواب میں عمران خان نے بجلی چوری روکنے کے لئے پیسکو کا کنٹرول خیبر پختونخوا حکومت کے ہاتھ میں دینے کی تجویز دی تھی۔

بہت سیانی ہے ن لیگ۔ اگر یہ کنٹرول وقعی پی ٹی آئی کو مِل گیا تو ملک کی تاریخ میں ایک اور درخشندہ باب کا اضافہ ہوگا۔ ن لیگ نے تو عمران خان کو پھنسانے کے لئے یہ آفر کی ہے مگر مجھے پوری امید ہے خان صاحب کے لئے یہ چیلنج زیادہ بڑا نہیں،۔​

but if PTI does a good job and makes PESCO a profitable company, PMLN must not be allowed to get the credit

After all the power producing companies have been streamlined and producing profits, a dept should be formed.

This dept should be called National Utilities Commission of Pakistan (NUCOP). Its task would be to oversee of further explorations for power. Power producing companies should be sold to the highest bidding corporate making it private companies with NUCOP being its overseer.

Lets not forget that IK or his party is not going to live for ever and we want stable supply of utilities for our grand children and their grand children. This can only happen if these companies are privatized.

Down the road exploration of natural gas should also be put under NUCOP.

Any commenst from anybody? Be neutral please for your grand children, no party affiliations

ویسے یہ کوئی اندرونی تبدیلی ہے یا بیرونی ؟
