It's a classic case of the grass appearing greener on the other side. The British and western complex is thriving amongst the elite in Pakistan.

That's why I'm big proponent of "education first".
Once you educate your generation and than you let them loose and allow them to make the decisions.

before that its hard for them to make difference between wheat and chaff.

People stuck in 1000 years ago always think that changing culture is 'somehow bad'. You're not alone. It always happens to conservative minded people all over the world. They cry and cry about the culture dynamics and that's all they can do.

Keep on whining about how 'west' is bad. That'll get you places, I'm sure.

I bet if you're offered a permanent residency in this 'west' - you'd be the first one to leave everything and go there.

Problem isn't some kind of complex.

The problem in economic inequality.

In developed countries, almost all teenagers no matter rich or poor, can go and hangout at some kind of fun places to vent and have fun.

In Pakistan, we've yet to feed our own. People go to sleep hungry and without proper clothes or housing in Pakistan.

That's why the rich look idiotic when they hang out in a fun place like this underground club and the poor look hopeless when all they can is stare.

If there was economic equality in Pakistan like there is in developed nations then the video above would feel 'normal'.

Dont be child. just learn how culture and fashions goes and work... always fasion and culture come from top to down..

All fashion come in any society from hollywood.
same way all culture come from rich socities to less rich society,

culture is like water it flows from hight to down. this music culture will become part of pak, as we move towards indusltraiztion and urbanization.

these rich people of karachi are not from mars they r pakistani..

y these people adopt this bcz they know this is in fasion and part of rich socities, so have to follow them, it is human nature
in this video u showed poor pakistni also.. trust me if these poor pakistani were rich they will adopt this also.. there is always exceptions. but i m talking for majority..

remember both poor and rich people in this video r pakistani.. difference is industralization and urbanization..

Agreed. Its purely human nature to blend in the environment.

I have not said western culture is "bad" but disagree with "besharmi" in the so called Islamic Republic of Pakistan:) Yeah women drinking and partying is very Islamic which is why the country is a mess! This is obviously your idea of progress(clap) (clap).

The culture that you are referring to, was not originally introduced by rich people. You are only referring to fashion. And fashion is not the only thing that defines a culture.
What you guys forget is, that our culture, whether Pakistani culture or the Muslim culture, was shaped and introduced by those who had nothing to do with wealth.
And when you refer to higher ground, You refer to rich people. Well, i disagree. The higher ground is not and should not be based on money in your pocket. It should be based on your morals and behavior. And when that is the criteria, rich people (as a general rule) fall into the lowest category. Now as i said, not all rich people are such, but most of them are. So, your theory of higher and lower ground is bogus and just according to your imagination.
Dancing, being half naked, and advertising your physical features is NOT fashion. The shame is not that we have things like this going on that sets us no different that immoral societies, but the real shame is, that there are people like you who have ridiculous arguments to defend such stuff, and call it human nature. May ALLAH help us all.

Someone with a display pic like yours, can say such stuff. And it makes sense.....Ofcorse you seem to be on the right path, and so will like other people to follow you too.
Lemme correct ur concepts a bit..... In western countries, Muslim people with decent resources are making their kids Hafiz and Aalim. The quality of Huffaaz is better than what are made in Pakistan. These kids never go and hang-out in cool places as you depicted. This is because they care about their values.
"Feeding our own" as you said, should not be feeding with your naked bodies and shameless activities. I dont know where people like you get your education from. Totally ridiculous. In the name of modernism and fashion, you want our sisters and daughters to be a delight for the eyes of onlookers.

So, hold on a second. Let me ask you something: You're from Scotland. There, everyone has social liberties, unlike Pakistan. Liberty of dress, ideas, courtship and almost all aspects of social life. Do you think that the girls who wear mini-skirts and drink are immoral and bad? What have you done about it other than talk and talk. I will come to you to where ever you are up North and then please allow me to make a video of saying what you mean. I want you to say that alcohol drinking and mini-skirt wearing girls are wrong in your opinion and you want to stop it because you think is it immoral.

I really want to help the authorities snub the Islamists' craziness in the UK and getting you would be a good starting point.

Dude, it's fanatics like you who're poisoning the society in the UK. Your 1400 year old stuck mentality encourages the radicalization like this news story here or the woolwich attacker.

Biggest load of 'bull' I've heard in weeks.

*facepalm*

Who is feeding you these lolipops, dude?

Or are you pulling this 'category A1 super bull' from your own behind?

My friend, like I say this to the fanatics of Fundamentalistan: Real world is what is actually happening out there and not how you wish things should happen out there.

For everyone of your fictitious Huffaz that you imagine these Muslim parents are creating, I will show you 100 of the Muslim youth who are NOT becoming that and accept the normal way of social life of western country they live it.

LOL. What a fantasy fanatic.

True sign of a fanatic: He would regress everything and every topic to a mother, sister and daughter issue.

Dude, what is this sick obsession with mothers, sisters and daughters?

Western societies have learnt the civility that rather than caging women in 'burqas' - they treat women outside of family like they would want their family members to be treated. This is a civil way. Caging women like poultry IS NOT.

Of course, bad things happen here too. They will always happen in any human society, even in a small percentage at least. But caging women like poultry-farm stock is hardly a solution.

Please tell me something - if a teenage boy hangs out with a girl and behaves with her the same way he wants his sister to be treated by her friend - what is wrong in that? It's the perfect scenario of 'do unto others..'

But no, fanatics of Fundamentalistan will NOT be at ease until they have every women caged up like some poor poultry-farm lot.

I'm not commenting on the video. But the phrase "mummy Daddy and Burgers" irritates me.

The thread starter, got no idea that this PTI is worried about your kids and the future of the next generation.
You are the problem of this country. We the world watcher know how far behind we are left.

I can surely vouch for your statements. Here In around me people pay $150 a month per kid to teach them Holy Qur'an on Skype. In the USA, I have attended many marriage ceremonies where Gents and ladies sit separately.

You learn the value of something when you lose it. We do value a lot here being a Muslim and that's very important. That's what education teaches.
