Javed Miandad's argument leaves me boggled. According to him, Imran has been out of cricket for a long time, and is now in politics, so he should not talk about cricket, and stick to politics.
So this means that all of Imran's 20+year experience in cricket is awash now, that he is no longer in the game? What about these media anchors, analysts, gurus, who keep talking about cricket when they havent even spent a single day in cricket? or in some cases, ex-cricketers who were flops on the field, or at best, average players, with a few matches under their belt, and now all of a sudden, are experts in the topic?
Imran's words hold more weight than any cricketer in Pakistan out there, hands down. Clowns like Sheheryar, Sethi, etc are ruling the roost, making decisions based on money and money alone. Whereas Imran's statements are based on the merit of the game and players. Yes, Imran doenst watch every game, or doesnt follow every cricketer, but I would trust his eye and instincts based on his knowledge more than that of the goofs in charge of Pak cricket today.
