He has never been a PPP MPA. He is the local political head of Talban supporters in DG Khan since last 10-15 years. His ideology and religious affiliation is 180 degrees to that of PPP.

This was back then and in 2013 he joined again PPP but could not get ticket as he was in fake degree case. Joined JUI-F and won but lost in court.

I don't think he has any links to Taliban. He is the tumman of the Qaisrani tribe. The tummans generally don't have strong religious affiliations and are focused on their clan.
