Its a controversial and dubious case, one should not jump to conclusions about someones life. Pakistan has a deeply flawed and primitive justice system, fake police encounters, judicial murders are not uncommon. There is no physical evidence or proof that Shafqat committed any crime, they only have a confession taken under duress of brutal torture at hands of police which included pulling out his nails and electrocuting his genitals. In any other civilized country this would not result in a conviction. Even on the day of his hanging he wrote in his will that he is innocent. While the real murderers maybe people with some money and influence in police walking free, they find poor and deprived people to pay for their crimes, this is the reality of Pakistan's justice system.
As for that picture its hard to say that he is not 24, the black beard despite stress and tension proves that he is in his 20s, except for stress marks on face there is no wrinkles that would suggest that he is older than 25. His face without that big beard would not look much different than his pictures from when he was 14.

I will appreciate if you produce his real birth certificate form .. according this birth certificate they are right as it says he was born in 1991 and convicted in 2004 which means at the age of 12 to 15 years ..if you can prove he was above 18 at that time then yes you r right ..thanks

ریکارڈ میں مجرم کا رنگ گورا، بال سیاہ درج ہیں۔ گرفتاری کے وقت مجرم شلوار قمیض میں ملبوس تھا اور مجرم کا پتہ مکان نمبر 502 ای، نیو سبزی منڈی یونیورسٹی روڈ درج ہے۔ مجرم اردو اور ہندکو زبان بولتا ہے۔ عینی شاہدین کے مطابق گرفتاری کے وقت شفقت حسین 20 سے 22 سال کا تھا اور شفقت حسین کی بڑی بڑی مونچھیں تھیں۔ شفقت حسین اپنی مونچھوں کو تاؤ بھی دیتا تھا چھوٹے لڑکے کی مونچھیں اتنی بڑی نہیں ہوتیں۔ عینی شاہدین کا کہنا تھا 13 سال کا لڑکا چوکیداری کیسے کر سکتا ہے۔

گرفتاری کے بعد اس نوعیت کی عمومی معلومات خود ملزم سے ھی پوچھ کر لکھ دی جاتی ھیں ۔۔ اس مجرم کی عمر کسی مرحلے پر بھی بحث کا موضوع نھیں تھی لیکن یار لوگوں نے چار دن رونق لگاۓ رکھی ۔۔ کیوں کہ انتظامیہ جس وقت اس کی زندگی کی ڈور کاٹنا چاھتی تھی، وہ وقت قدرت کی مقررہ گھڑی سے میل نھیں کھاتا تھا
