Is Mohammad Sarwar as the governor of Punjab a mistake?
I watched PTV Eid show last night and listened to Mr Sarwar introductory speech and found it totally insipid, unimpressive and plain in substance and delivery. One thing that I found disturbing was that his confusion in determining if he was a British national or a Pakistani and if he was representing UK or Pakistan.
As a Labour PM in the British parliament, he was a dormant MP in the back benches and was never prominent or conspicuous in the house. He lacked eloquence and was not very conversant with the English language that held him back to be public eye. I was astonished when he was appointed Governor of Punjab by prime minister Nawaz Shariff and questioned his wisdom. When you listen to him speaking, you get an impression that he is a typical dihaati in accent. He should sound more academic and intellectual as his post requires.
