Ironical Females !!!

These women don't care what hinderances they face in the name of their faith and its followings. Actually the whole world can be declared a male-dominated, schauvinistic place ... yet here we have three females from same faith, different ethnicities ... and see how they explain their faith differently.

How about posting some videos of the apathetic state of women in the muslim world in general?
There are a lot of those too on youtube if you care to look.

I could post some but you would disregard them as 'propaganda of the west'.

I won't .. and I am not propagating anything.

If a single student top position from one class ... you can't hold teacher of that class responsible for the failure of some students. Because it shows he has taught them .. and if they only had something in them they could have topped too ...

Along the same lines ... this debate is not what is meant to be shown ... but the point is if some women can feel satisfied, contained ... you can't hold schauvinism responsible for that. After all, it is a Man's world .... oooops ... no I did not said that.

So a women wearing a hijab is by default pious and righteous and a women wearing a liberal dress (but still covering up properly) is by default immoral? Is that your point that the way a woman dresses tells you EVERYTHING about her character?

PS: I am not for banning the purdah or something of that sort since you guys will be judging me as a 'musharraf type enlightened moderate'.

I am all for freedom of allowing a woman to choose for herself if she wants to wear a nikaab or not.

I wanna laugh to this for at least 20 minutes ... If by all the clarification you still are unable to see my point ... I guess it would be futile for me to further explore my mental lobbies to come out with anything new that could make you understand.

Don't worry ... I am not the labeling type ... I don't label people ... unless they label themselves.

Salute to the sisters with hijab and niqab. I read in Quran that hijab is mandatory to cover head and cover hand down to the wrist and legs down below the ankles, and about 2 inches above the ankles (for men). There is also a muttafiq-un-alaih hadeeth about these.

Wearing niqab like the sister on the right is optional and geared more towards the culture of the country she came from. However the sister on left with blue hijab is perfect. Both look so decent.

the Jewish woman of the CBC is a good looking too but nonetheless.......

the young lady on the right reminded e of a poem from Ghalib:

خدا کے واسطے پردہ نہ کعبے سے اٹھا ظالم
کہیں ایسا نہ ہو یاں
بھی وہ ہی کافر صنم نکلے

What was the objective of recording this segment in the first place? CBC should not be concerned about muslim dress. If they are not doing anything illegal then they should be left alone. They just want to pinch Muslims.

Poor Sonia Khan doesn't know basic Islamic principle of Satr. A typical case of ABCD (Americn Born Confused Desi).

Canadian media is just doing what French did some while ago. They want the govt to introduce the same anti-niqab legislation like the one in France.

This interview may have been first step towards the campaign against it

The first part you mentioned is related to Satr (minimum area of body which men/women must cover) which is mandatory. It is clearly defined and there is no conflict about it.

Covering the face is part of purda on which different ulema have different opinions.

Showing off naked arms and hair is totally against the basic principle of Satr. We often practice selected islamic principles, which are convenient for us.
