1. Pakistan developed/tested the NASR missile (the tactical missile) only recently in 2011. The doctrine is older than that.

2. Thats exactly the reason why we got into the nuclear program to compensate for the non parity in conventional arms and the size of Army. At max our 1 soldier can take out 3 of theirs, our more advance airforce will for sure have starting edge, but the size of our economy, army strength and the fact unlike India, Pakistani land mass is narrow and concentrated along the indian border and hence exposed to the attack (not to mention around 70% of our population are near the indian border) , will result in bleeding out the resources, as it happened in 1965. We could not sustain the war as long as India could, even though we had captured more land early on.

The second strike nuclear submarine is also part of that doctrine. They are equiped with long range strategic nuclear arms rather than the short range and short impact tactical ones.

3. To the best of my knowledge Pakistan has more chances of falling into a civil war than India, the reason being the Pakistani govt is run largely by establishment and the leftover power is also concentrated and not devolved unlike India.

4. The purpose of having the nuclear missile clearly shows intention on both side to not rule but destroy the enemy. neither of us are German that would stand up after total destruction.

Lastly about Indian divisions, yes they have cast based divisions, but when it comes to their country these divisions dont matter. because the divisions are not region based as in Pakistan. There is no specific regional which has only one cast living there, same goes for religious one. Apart from Muslims in Kashmir and Sikhs in Punjab, and very small number of budhists in north. the rest on india is pretty much mixed. There is no region thats home only to Muslims/Dallits/christians/any other caste or religious group. Also, I have been to more than 30 countries till now, pretty much spent more 20 years living abroad, I havent met a single Indian ( even close friends) who would discuss Indian politics or internal problems with others. I cant say the same for Pakistanis. And not just common citizen, prominent ones dont spare either, we have former Pakistani Ambassador speaking regularly against Pakistan. Allmost all of our politicians have reached out publicly and privately to foreign agencies against our establishment, History check: Ghulam Mustafa Kharr went into exile during Zias era, and gave out a statement that we will come back on Indian Tanks.
