Shams Tabrez came travelling from far lands to the town of moulana Rumi.
Moulana Rumi at the time was a goldsmith (sunaar). He was working in his workshop located in a busy bazaar heating and hitting gold with a hammer to shape it.
Shams Tabrez walked by Moulana Rumi's workshop.
Shamz Tabrez aur moulana Rumi ki aankhein larr gaein.
Shams Tabrez got into wajd of the sound of hammer hitting the gold to the point he started dhamaal.
Moulana Rumi upon seeing the dhamal kept hitting the gold with his hammer and ruined it all and turned it into ashes.
Shams Tabrez dhamal was more important to Rumi than gold.
Seeing Shams Tabrez dhamal, other sufi joined in.
Seeing dhamal of sufis, qawwal from a nearby khanqah came and started qawwali.
This went on till night and became the starting point of the relationship between sham tabrez and Rumi.
