Running a country is not a five day affair. Cricket is a game where one palyer can win a match. One can perform well here and there, and get recognized as a good player. If Imran Khan was such a great player he should have stayed as captain of the Pakistan team and should have won the next World Cup as well. I am not trying to trivialize his accomplishments as a cricketer, what i am trying to say is that if you are good at something then you should be able to do it over and over again.
As far as Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital is concerned, its another feather in Imran Khan's cap, but you cannot run a country on donations from overseas Pakistanis. To run a country you need to have a plan, you need a team comprised of real professionals. I don't see all of this in PTI.
There are several things that I don't like about Imran Khan, following are just a few.
1. He does not have a clear cut plan for Pakistan's economy, foreign affairs, education, employment, terrorism, just to name a few. Whatever he says is just rhetoric. I am not saying that other political parties have any solid time tested policies on all things that I have mentioned, what I am saying is that Imran Khan is no different than all the goons who are running our country now or have ran our country in the past.
2. When somebody asked Imran Khan why he did not go to Karachi on May 12th with CJ? He said Karachi is not my city. If that is how he thinks about the largest city and the back bone of our country's economy, and you still think he can do something good for our country as a whole, then God help us all.
3. On an interview Imran Khan said that only rich people should take part in politics. If that is our (all Pakistanis) belief that poor and middle class people cannot take care of themselves and some rich guy should run our country, then Zardari and Nawaz have more money than Imran Khan, unless of course if Imran Khan has access to Jemima Goldsmith's wealth, then probably he is richer than the other two morons.
