Imran Khan Must Contest Elections from NA 126 Lahore
Dear All,
I am PTI party worker and had been serving party at small scale in Lahore. I didnt contest PTI elections due to personal reasons, but I fully supported party elections idea. I have a strong suggestion to PTI Lahore and National Team that Imran Khan or any strong candidate of PTI must contest election from NA 126. This constituency is sure seat for PTI. PML N Omer Suhail Zia Butt won election in 2008 and PML N is not giving him ticket this time due to his poor performance. Liaqat Balooch from JI is contesting this election from NA 126 but please PTI dont do any seat adjustment here as this is confirm seat of PTI. It includes area of Model Town, Garden Town, Allama Iqbal Town.

Imran has contested in all the major cities of Pakistan but unfortunately only Mianwalli a rural area made him a winning candidate, I thnk he lost from Lahore as well twice but lets see if people this time around vote sensibly

Why is it that candidates get to contest several seats in the same election. Bound to win one I guess. Most countries allow ONE candidate to stand in ONE constituency. If you lose tough, in Pak you just fight 4 or 5 and win one if you can manage it
Is there actually a limit on how many seats ONE candidate can fight ?
Why does IK just not stand as PTI from all constituencies and the same for AAZ and Mian Tind ..........

Thanks for the nice suggestion ! I think Lahore region tickets will be decided very carefully and if JI will do seat adjustment with PML-N then PTI will definitely field its candidates on each and every seat of Lahore. Until now Dr. Shahid Siddique Khan and Mammon ur Rasheed are potential candidates for this seat although nothing is final yet.. All depends on PTI elections on 26 Feb.. lets see who wins the party elections

Though your statement is right upto some extent but it is not always the case. It just gauge the popularity of the leader all around. Otherwise Benazir could easily win from Larkana seat but she contested election from Peshawar even. There are many examples.
IK will win very easily from his own constituency in Mianwali and from Lahore as well.

for you kind information i belong to swat....mingora swat...1997 mein imran khan swat sey lara tha mein u time uska poling agent the ...us waqt abdul rahim provincial assembly ka candidate tha...imran khan ney 10000 sey uper vote leyey they mujhey yaad hai jab nateeja announce ho raha tha imran khan mingora key green chowk mein hamarey sath tha....bohot city key halqon sey to jeet gaya tha par village mein buri tarah shikasht kha gaya tha...hamarey poling station mein us ney dosrey umeewaron sey double vote leyey they..lakin is dafa halat tabdel hain is dafa mushkil hai keh woh jeet sakey....imran khan jab sey taliban key support mein bolta hai na to majority of swat kee hamdardian uskey nahin hain

The practice of national leaders contesting from several constituencies and later relinquishing these seats after winning is an unnecessary and futile exercise. Ideally speaking, election rules should be amended to restrict a person to contest from only one constituency and that too his home constituency.

@moji538, brother, you are resident of the same area ,so you may be right but I still
doubt that PTI will be able to defeat PML(N) if JI and Makes seat adjustment. I wish
that JI must make seat adjustment with PTI so that PML(N) might be given tough time.
May Allah guide Pakistani brothers and vote for PTI for a better Pakistan.
