I used to think that Imran Khan is the future of Pakistani politics.

I have supported him all the way with the cause of chief justice. Mainly because his arguments made sense.

But I grossly disagree with his current anti-operation stance.
I agree that the shelling and bombings should not be the best option. Our army should deal with the insurgency via close range fighting to avoid civilian casualties.

However, the Talibans should be dealt with now. THe U.S. issue can be discussed later.

Imran's agrument that no country has used its military resources against its own people is false. Like Imran, I have also read a little bit of history.

America had to go through a civil war when it came to the issue of slavery. Abraham Linclon made "the house divided speech." He went after the pro-slavery South via his military resources. A bitter civil war was fought. The North won the war and the slavery was abolished from most of the USA. I think that we all know that USA did well after the war.

Also, China got its name form "Chin." This emperor conquered all the other tribes and made Mandarin the only language of China. He fought against all of his own people for a better, stronger and unified China, where the same rule of law can be exercised across the board. China did well under his leadership.

Talibans are cleary challenging Pakistani government and its people. It is evident that they want to impose their interpretation of Islam as the rule of law.

I disagree with Imran. And would like to ask the question why would he not go and talk to Talibans and tell them not to take weapons and money from Pakistan's enemies? Also he should ask Talibans if forcing women into marriages is Islamic at all? It is easy to score political points and critique the government. However, the Pakistani soldiers who are risking and giving their lifes to protect Pakistani government and the Pakistani way of life will not find this encouraging at all.

If people like myself and Imran can't physically fight on their own against the Talibans then atleast we should avoid discouraging our brave troops.

This could be a political suicide for Imran Khan.

Well I guess no one is perfect. This is the beauty of democracy. You support some people on some issues and on some issues you don't. The important thing is to understand the issue and analyze it and then make a decision on it. Not to make decisions based on who is analyzing the issue.

I wish all the best to Imran.

I totally agree with Imran Khan's point of view. He represents all Pakistani nation on this.
This so called war on terror is actually war against Islam. He understands it very well. Americans have desecrated Holy Quran in Bagram prison and in Guantanamo bay. They are distributing urdu, farsi and Pashto translations of bible in Pakistan and afghanistan to defile our religion and to try to convert muslims to Kufr. Bush had used word crusade which is war against Islam very clearly.

so If any of us does not understand it, he or she is grossly mistaken this is so shameful of zardari that he is ready to kill and displace his own people for dollar.

I completely agree with brother Sher Khan ,that Imran must review it Stan over the army operation at this critical time for Pakistan.
Our armed forces are fighting the very survival war for Pakistan and laying their lives by making their own children orphans and wives widows for whom? , Obviously for us Pakistanis from brutal terrorists who are armed with sophisticated weapons and well trained foreign elements amongst them, we have seen the bloody dead bodies of them havent we?
Just today on 22/5 ,bomb was exploded in Pashawar, the market where people were buying food to feed their families, scores died and many wounded. may Allah put curse on those who pretend to be so called muslims.

I ask Imran where his own sisters and other female members of his immediate families who are Patans but highly educated in Lahore and from foreign universities, now working in UN and other institutions, will he accept the talibans rule where talibas, will flog his sisters in public just because they are working or for being educated and forced to confide at home for rest of their lives?

If answer is yes, then he should carry on his opposition for military operations and if NO then he must join the rank and file of Pakistanis who can foresee the nightmare scenario if we are defeated?

We are not going to hand over our Pakistan to stone aged brutal terrorist, Never.

Despite having many issues, yet to be resolved, we do know well what Pakistan inherited at the time of independent and where she is standing now?
Our Islam is progressive and we follow Quran in which Allahs first word through angle Gibrael to our Prophet (PBUH) was IQRA. Read oh MOHAMMAD after me.
When one reads it is obvious one is changed from what was one, the day before.isn't it??

We are Sahaeens of Iqbal and determine to take ourselves a well as our beloved Pakistan to many different heights. INSHALLAH.
No place for Talibans in our land.

what imran khan is preaching these days against the military operation, is shooting on his feet himself,he dont need MQM to go against him.he is doing it himself,I used to be his big supporter but not anymore.pakistan comes first rest c omes after. He could have done a lot, initiate meetings and dialogs with sufi mohammad and maulvi fazlulah but he did't do anything but start cricising the operation.by doing this, you have finished yourself imran khan politically. Not many people agree with you.You might not win your own seat in the next election.

I can't believe that Pakistani, the Pakistani support army operation in swat,,, Brotherss wake up,,u don't kill the town for few people,, we use to critize US for bombing in Iraq,,so they can kill few people. before operation they were estimatin 3000 talibans in swat, after this opration, they will not be 3000,, ask your self,, is it gonna reduce, or increase. None of taliban have registered their name for something , i believe the criminal taliban is gone from swat,, they are not gonna fight...
Above all,,,to kill 3000 people,, we misplaced millions of people,,, we had no other choice,,only bombing,,, like no spying, or surge,,, only bombing,,,This operation is only for USA,,
