I am neither an alcoholic
Nor a workaholic - I hardly work;
Sheer exhaustion makes me sleep for hours...
Maybe, journalists by and large are extra drunkards,
bulk of them - drug addicts and extortionists

to the extent of attrition of truthfulness
to glorify crimes against humanity;
Neither journalism gives me a living
nor I aspire for any of the extra profits
journalism offers

from the criminalized media lords.
Awards go hunting for the drug addicts but I am safe..

The position of a teacher I loved I lost long back

even before I missed my beloved princess...
like a dream broken halfway...

a princesses of beauty, guidance and clear thoughts
and inspiration for new ideas....

I thought both would find me back anytime soon;
Maybe I am realist, maybe an optimist too..
Maybe I am nobody...

They play mischief and it is their profession;
From post-school days when my lines saw the first print
to post-university life

as my views got the anti-humanity world go frenzy
when humanity got terrorized

prime victim of big global nuclear bosses
I never thought I am in a journalist profession .

Maybe a small scale writer I am of a knotty world
without passions for liquor package

Maybe, I am a nature lover
the nature that leads me to wherever it likes,
even if I do not like;
Call me a humanist if you like,
if you don't mind....please..

:mash: Dr. Sahib! A very nice poem in free verse. A befitting criticism on the current state of the affair of Mir Jafaar and Mir Sadaq Journalists. A true expression of agony of a soul for whom the treachery and hypocrisy prevalent around gets unbearable. But Dr. Sahib refuge is not in the past. It is time "to take arms against the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune (Shakespeare/Hamlet)". And it is the time when the experience and guidance of people like U is required.

Thanks a lot for your kind appreciation of my lines which you have even called a free verse.. In today's world, only the anti-Islamic way is highlighted by people as the only way for salvation. Of late, people rarely say anything good about my firm views. Indians just oppose me. I am however undeterred. Good matured people with positive thinking do appreciate me which gives me the necessary critical confidence to continue..
