There is new evidence that humans are born with a sense of ethics. Watch this research. It is amazing:

Born good? Babies help unlock the origins of morality. Can infants tell right from wrong? And if so, how would you know? Come to Yale's baby lab. Lesley Stahl reports.

I think we are all born innocent...then the world teaches us lessons and kills our innocence!

"life" is more personal..."world" incorporates everything else as well such as the bad things we see happening in other countries, poverty etc so I think "world is better"...but of course it is our own life itself which has the most impact..

this study also proves that nawaz sharief was actually not a bad person his upbringing was just bad and hence we have a country which is ruined because of his bad upbringing

Actually what this means is that we don't need religion to teach us morality. Atheists win.

No its other way around. The religion is of the opinion that the righteousness and wickedness are both inspired into the human, and he/she is given a free will to be pious or wicked.

And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it (7)

فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَىٰهَا
And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness, (8)

That's true, but who decides what is right and wrong? Religion or man himself? Or is religion itself a man made franchise?

Religion helps man in deciding the right and the wrong, but that doesn't necessarily mean that man is unaware of righteousness. Rather, the man is inspired with a sense of righteousness and wickedness.

Or is religion itself a man made franchise?

That is not right although people do claimed it to be so. One of the reasons is that the religion connects the man to the metaphysical realities of the universe and beyond, and this sense of connection soothes him/her spiritually.
