One should start with self and then start encouraging others. It's really not that hard.

Currently, there are over 2 billion Muslims in the world. If 10% of them stop buying Coke and Pepsi only, that's billions of dollars in lost revenue. Imagine if only more Muslims follow and avoid other major American household, consumer brands also? That will definitely limit any future blatant interference and bullying behavior towards other nations. Choke their strength!
