bhai u sound really innocent. i have no problem in paying duty but not twice. putting more tax on overseas pakistani who is already contribution by sending $$$$$$$ gov much needed for debts .i love to spend on poors and spent lot in my life and will continue to spend direct.
do you know how many pakistani pay tax? why not take those 90% into tax net??
i appreciate u wanted gov to have more money and it could happen by taking people into tax net

Update your info: Once you've paid duty you don't have to pay again. Your phone will be registered in Pakistan. So it's once, not twice.

Agree on tax net expansion. We need to pay our part in it too. Next time when you are in Pakistan and your cousin brags about his new Corolla, don't forget to tell him to obtain NTN as well and even better if you can just drop an email about him to FBR. Won't take you more than 2 mins even if you'd type it on one of your 3 cellphones. FBR will take care of the rest. Don't shop from anywhere if they can't produce their NTN certificate or don't have it pasted. I report 1 case every other week and it's been going pretty well so far! :)

Can't wait for the whistleblower act to kick in and start making some $$$'s for myself! ;)

For your information my dear people of Kashmir are still paying tax on top up ,they treat us like a slaves

My dear then you'd also know why people are still paying taxes on topups there. Taxation in Kashmir is already way less than that in Pakistan. Hence it wasn't abolished in Kashmir. On a net basis, a Kashmiri household is obliged to pay less tax than a Pakistani household. Eik tou favor do kashmiris ko ooper se gaalian bhi suno!
