Historical Masajid in Saudi Arabia and their Condition-Visit of Mr. Zaid Hamid

We visited the sacred and historic muqam of Ghazwa-e-Khandaq in Medina where seven small Masjids stood on the places where Sahabas had their tents during the battle. The place is also called Sabaa Masajid due to seven masjids. It was truly heart breaking to see that these masjids are being destroyed now after standing there for 1400 years . The authorities have constructed a new masjid there and have sealed and neglected these seven great masjids. The Masjid of Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) is already destroyed and gone and others are in bad shape too. One of the greatest battles of Islam was fought at this place. It sent shivers down our spine to be on this place and saddened us deeply to see history being destroyed in the name of construction and development! It really hurts!!! Alhamdolillah, gave azaan in Masjid e Fatah, which was perhaps the first azaan in many many years!! May Allah have mercy upon this ummah !

Masjid e Fatah is where the glad tidings of victory came during the battle of Trench [Ghazwa-e-Khandaq]! We were heart broken to see the masjid in extremely bad shape and without any care, without electricity or maintainance. Alhamdolillah, in respect and adab of Masjid, we gave azaan here which was perhaps the first azaan in many years! It was an extremely emotional moment when the old sacred masjid echoed with the sounds of Azaan once again! We felt the whole masjid blooming into happiness as shivers went down our own spine. Allahu Akbar!!

The sign board at the place of Seven Masjids of Ghazwa e Khandaq! It is such a tragedy that these great seven masajids are now being destroyed due to negligence! An entire 1400 years of Muslim history would disappear if these masajids are gone. Already Masjid of Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique [RA] has been destroyed and turned into parking lot . Write to the ministry and ask them to protect these masjids.

Seven masjids were made where seven Sahabas had placed their tents at the time of Ghazwa e Khandaq! This place is also called Saba masajid or seven masajids due to these seven small masajids which are there for the last 1400 years. Today, a new large masjid has been made shown in the background and these seven great historical masajids are being slowly destroyed. This is such a tragedy! This masjid of Hazrat Umar (RA) is also in very bad shape.

This is the masjid of Hazrat Salman Farsi [RA] which is now sealed, crumbling and without any maintenance.

This is the inside of Masjid-e-Fatah, without electricity, without water, without maintenance and without azaan or salat. This is the historic masjid where the great bisharat of fatah came after the toughest siege of Medina in the battle of Khandaq! This is a sacred piece of Muslim history but being destroyed now! This is truly heart breaking!
