Greek minister terms Pak illegal immigrants as ‘tragedy’

ATHENS: A Greek cabinet minister said Thursday illegal immigrants in the country are of different “quality” than those elsewhere in Europe, calling the situation “tragic”.

“Let me tell you something else: the quality... the difference in culture of the immigrants who come here compared to other countries is tragic,” said Nikos Dendias, the minister of public order and citizen protection.
“There's a difference between Sweden facing immigration from the countries of the former Soviet Union, who have a certain level of education, who are Europeans in the broad sense of the term, and Greece, which is facing immigration from Bangladesh and Pakistan.”

Dendias, who heads the country’s fight against illegal immigration, told Skai Radio that migrants from these countries “belong to another culture...come from a different world than us”.
The minister, a member of conservative party New Democracy, added that his remarks were not intended to “devalue anyone”.

According to his ministry’s website, the most common nationalities of illegal immigrants arrested in Greece last year were Albanian (36 per cent), Syrian (19 per cent) Afghan (15 per cent), Pakistani (9.4 per cent) and Bangladeshi (3.5 per cent). The country arrested 39,759 illegal immigrants in the first 11 months of 2013, down from 76,878 for all of 2012 and 132,524 for 2010.Dendias said Thursday more than 1.5 million illegal immigrants had entered Greece, a country of 11 million people, in less than 10 years.

Greece is a frequent entry point to the European Union and is among the most common transit countries for illegal immigrants, who sometimes plan to travel on to a third nation but get stuck in Greece because of EU rules making the country of entry responsible for dealing with asylum claims.
Greece, which holds the rotating EU presidency until July, has made immigration issues a priority and has said it plans to call for measures to redistribute migrants among the 28 EU member states.

“We are saying to Europeans that we need a redistribution scheme,” Dendias told Skai, saying possible criteria could include the size of a country's economy, its population and its surface area.

His comments came as Greece deals with the rise of neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn, which recent surveys have found is the country's third-most popular party despite a crackdown by authorities who have charged prominent members with belonging to a criminal organisation.

Illegal immigrants: 208 Pakistanis deported every day since 2009

ISLAMABAD: Labourer Ghulam Farid’s dreams of greener pastures seemed to momentarily come true when he landed in the United Arab Emirates to earn a better living. But the rude awakening came when he was expelled from the country for illegal entry.

“I did not have a single penny to feed my four kids after being deported from the UAE,” the 34-year-old told The Express Tribune. “My agent cheated me and now I have nowhere to go.”
Farid is just one of over 380,000 Pakistanis who have been deported from 54 countries since 2009. According to the official figures obtained by The Express Tribune, the average deportation of Pakistanis during the five-year period amounts to 208 per day.
“No one helped us. We packed up and were sent home in a special plane arranged by the UAE government, which dropped us at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport,” Farid said, recalling the days when the Gulf states started a crackdown against illegal immigrants last year.
19_zpsc00ed69f.jpg

“Before leaving Pakistan, I had handed over all my savings to an agent, Farid of Ward Sheikha Wala, Layyah, for documentation. But it was all a fraud — we were ultimately sent back to Pakistan as our documents were found to be forged,” he said.
While these figures are startling, Pakistan itself has handed over an estimated 25,712 illegal immigrants to some two dozen countries during the last five years.
Over 259,000 (67% of the total figure) Pakistanis were deported from four brotherly countries, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran and Oman. Saudi Arabia deported more than 122,000 Pakistanis during the last five years. Around 60,000 in 2013; 17,000 in 2012; 15,667 in 2011; 15,231 in 2010; and 14,878 Pakistanis were deported in 2009.
Over 63,000 Pakistanis were deported from the UAE between 2009 and 2013.
The Iranian immigration staff has sent back around 43,000 Pakistanis in the last five years. Tehran handed over some 9,000 illegal immigrants to Pakistan’s border authorities at the Taftan border in Balochistan in 2013.
Similarly, the United States sent some 600 Pakistanis home in the last five years, with 90 deported in 2013. The United Kingdom has deported some 9,000 Pakistanis since 2008 on the grounds that they were living there without proper documentation. Around 2,100 Pakistanis were expelled in 2013.
Over 31,000 Pakistanis were deported from Oman in the last five years, with 6,123 in 2013 alone. Over these five years, as many as 14,280 Pakistanis were deported from Greece, with 2,564 illegal immigrants sent home just last year.
More than 6,500 Pakistanis were deported from Turkey in the last five years, with 1,345 illegal immigrants sent back in 2013. Almost 6,500 Pakistanis were deported from Serbia.
South Africa sent home around 2,000 Pakistanis in the last five years while some 27 Pakistanis were deported from Afghanistan. While 12 were deported from China, Canada saw 79 deportations with France expelling 575 Pakistanis in the last five years.
A senior official associated with an Anti-Human Trafficking Circle under the Federal Investigation Agency told The Express Tribune that there are two reasons behind this mass deportation. In the first instance, deportees deliberately misplaced their documents to prolong their illegal stay. Some migrants managed to gain entry of other countries on the basis of forged documents usually prepared by their agents or human traffickers, he added.

For Saima Shaheen, a would-be barrister from Pakistan, her new life in the UK hasn't worked out quite as she hoped.
Originally admitted on a student visa, she became an illegal immigrant after it ran out and says she was forced to work like a slave by an unscrupulous lawyer who threatened to reveal her immigration status if she didn't.
Now, more than five years after her visa ran out and four months after her corrupt former boss was jailed, she has decided to claim asylum in the UK but is furious about the way she has been treated.

Pakistani illegal immigrants arrested in South Africa

All the immigration advice and information you'll need for a new future.

PAKISTANI ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARRESTED IN SOUTH AFRICA

I

llegal immigrants are rife in South Africa.
The South African Immigration Department has arrested four men of Pakistani nationality. The Pakistanis are said to have tried entering South Africa illegally through the border from Mozambique.
Koku Lwebandiza, the Regional Immigration Officer said the men had crossed the Tanzania-Mozambique border into South Africa. She further went on to give the names as follows; Mohamed Shalid Ali aged 18, Terwir Ahmed aged 30, Sabal Aslam Bhatit and Mohamed Malik aged 50.
The illegal immigrants’ trip was cut short in Mgazini and Namtumbo villages. This was after the immigration was made aware of what was happening by the villagers. Lwebandiza said the four were found hiding in a room by border officials. It is alleged that they suffered from deep wounds inflicted on them by the same border officials.
Lwebandiza further added that the foreigners came into the country legally through the Julius Nyerere International Airport. This was between 6th and 9th March. On March 10th they headed to Namtumbo with the aim of re-entering the country illegally via the Tanzania-Mozambique border.
They were unfortunately refused entry in Nilepa. Nilepa is a village located along the Tanzania-Mozambique border. It was here that the four Pakistanis were also robbed off all their property and travel documents. This forced them to go to Tanzania.
Lwebandiza said the villagers in Tanzania gave them accommodation but went on to report them to the South African Immigration Department, hence the arrest.
Individuals looking to live and work in South Africa should follow the proper procedure in order to avoid conflict with the law. They will need to apply for a permanent residence visa. This will entitle them to all the rights and obligations enjoyed by South African citizens.
Applications from investors, industrialists, entrepreneurs and basically anybody with skilled labor will be approved. One is required to be of sound mind and good character in order to qualify for a permanent visa.
Once an individual has been granted permanent residency, he or she will not need to apply a second time. Frankly one’s stay in South Africa will be more memorable and comfortable if only the right immigration rules and procedures are followed.

[h=1]Army contingents mistakenly fire at each other, 2 soldiers dead[/h]

  • Peerzada Ashiq, Hindustan Times, Srinagar|
  • Updated: Aug 05, 2015 01:40 IST

Two soldiers were killed and several others were injured when two contingents of the army opened fire at each other in the militancy-hit south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Tuesday, in a case of mistaken identity.
The incident took place in the Tral area, which is more than 40km away from Srinagar and has seen a spurt in militancy in the recent months.
Srinagar-based army spokesperson Colonel Brijesh Pandey told HT that the incident took place after sundown.
"There was a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area. Two patrols operating in the same area mistook each other as militants. Two soldiers have died in the incident," Pandey said.
The deceased soldiers belong to the army's 42 Rashtriya Rifles. "It is a case of mistaken identity. An inquiry will be launched soon to find out what exactly happened," Pandey said.
The spokesperson said militants in Tral have started wearing army fatigues, leading to confusion. "It is difficult to differentiate between a friend and a foe in such a situation. In many confrontations, reaction time is always short," said Pandey.
A batch of fresh recruits of indigenous militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen, headed by young commander Burhan Ahmad, wear army fatigues and march along jungles and orchards in the area. The army has launched operations to nab the commander, but failed so far.

Pakistani man accused of plotting Toronto terror attacks ordered deported

Jahanzeb Malik’s lawyer denounced the Immigration and Refugee Board hearing as a farce. Malik is expected to leave within the next several weeks.

By: Colin Perkel Canadian Press, Published on Fri Jun 05 2015
A Pakistani man accused of plotting terror plotting bomb attacks on the U.S. consulate and financial district in Toronto was ordered out of Canada on Friday following a process his lawyer denounced as a farce.

Jahanzeb Malik, who will not contest the decision, is now expected to be deported within the next several weeks.

“Mr. Malik has been deemed to be inadmissible,” his lawyer Anser Farooq told an Immigration and Refugee Board hearing minutes after receiving the decision.

A handcuffed Malik, who appeared via video link from a prison in Lindsay, Ont., showed little reaction.

A copy of the decision by board member Andy Laut to strip Malik of his permanent resident status and declare him inadmissible on national security grounds was not immediately available.

However, an undercover RCMP officer who befriended the 33-year-old flooring contractor testified previously that Malik was an extremist who professed sympathies for ISIS and al Qaeda. The agent said Malik showed him videos of ISIS beheadings andasked about building explosives.

Farooq, who has derided the use of immigration rather than criminal proceedings in such cases, said it makes no sense to kick out someone alleged to be a dangerous terrorist.

In addition, Farooq said, the low standard of proof required in inadmissibility cases means someone can be shown the door based on questionable evidence.

“The immigration detention review and inadmissibility process is farcical in the face of the serious allegations and the standard of proof required to label someone for the rest of their life,” Farooq told the Canadian Press. “The purpose fails me.”

After hearing Laut’s ruling, board member Harry Adamidis ordered Malik, who was arrested March 9, to stay in custody.

“There is no alternative to his detention,” Adamidis said. “I find that if released on his own, he would constitute a danger to the public.”

Malik has no regard for the safety and well-being of others or for the law, Adamidis said.

While Malik had shown himself to be a religious zealot who believed in violence to further his beliefs, Adamidis noted there had been no evidence Malik posed an imminent threat.

“He did not actually plan to bomb a specific target on a specific date,” Adamidis said. “The plan was very much in the conceptual stages.”

Government counsel, Jessica Lourenco, countered that Malik clearly intended to develop the bomb plot. He had inquired about the feasibility of making bombs and the amount of explosives required, she said.

“There were quite frequent communications about this plan,” Lourenco said. “It was a plan Mr. Malik did intend to follow through on.”

Lourenco said Malik has a valid passport and his removal will occur as soon as it can be arranged — likely in about three weeks.

Farooq said there would be no attempt to delay the deportation.

“I’m just going to get Mr. Malik out of here just as soon as we can,” the lawyer said.

In a separate case decided last month, another Pakistani man, Muhammad Aqeeq Ansari, who amassed a collection of high-power guns, was ordered out of Canada as a danger to national security. His deportation is expected at any time.

[h=1]UAE-Pakistan 'Remote Countering' nets deported drug lord in his den[/h][h=3]40 traffickers and promoters, as well as 80 drug addicts arrested[/h]

UAE Ministry of Interior along with its Pakistani counterpart has busted the most dangerous regional network for trafficking and smuggling heroin.

The network, run by Pakistani national Akil Khan from his premises in his home town Peshawar, comprised more than 40 Asians.
They targeted residents of the UAE and its neighbouring countries.

Colonel Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director-General, Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General, Ministry of Interior, said investigations revealed that all the drugs came from a single source – from one exclusive distributor.
The gang leader ran his operations via phone from abroad after he recruited dozens of promoters in the UAE. He said, the operation dubbed ‘Remote Countering’, led to the arrest of 40 traffickers and promoters as well as 80 drug addicts; and seizure of 150 kilograms of heroin.

The arrested suspects were working under the supervision and direction of Khan, who served a prison sentence in Abu Dhabi in 2012 and was deported.

Upon returning home, he established and operated the gang from his home in Pakistan.
“Khan was seemingly unaware that the UAE is capable of effectively countering crime that affects the security of its society – regardless of the threat’s origin. The breadth of our capabilities stretch across the continents,” said Col. Al Suwaidi.

“Based on his extensive relationships with the drug addicts he had established during his time in the UAE, Khan expanded his criminal activity over the past two years until it became a concern of security for the anti-narcotics departments in the UAE and neighbouring countries.
"Khan’s name was listed as one of the most dangerous financiers of heroin in the UAE and throughout the Gulf. He reached a level of insolence and self-confidence, thinking he had immunity, he allowed anyone to contact him directly without the need for a middleman or having to have been previously introduced to him.
"He would then provide the drugs to the addicts by having it delivered to them. He gained the trust and confidence of the addicts by his quick delivery and service to their nearest locations,” Col. Al Suwaidi said.

Col. Al Suwaidi added that the operation took an unconventional turn as it passed through various stages of highly confidential joint security work, which resulted in the formation of a federal team in order to target the suspect in his home in Pakistan in coordination with the Pakistani authorities.

The criminal approach in the promotion of narcotics was creative in the fact that it entailed a sum of money to be transferred from the addict to the gang leader in Pakistan – all without access to any middleman or knowing the date of delivery or the person responsible for extraditing it.
"Following the financial transfer, the addict then awaits a phone call from Pakistan where they will be guided to the location where the drugs are hidden,” said Col. Al Suwaidi.
He said such a methodology proved challenging for the security bodies, as they were prevented from being able to monitor receipt and delivery operations that are usually associated with conventional face-to-face transactions.

The international cooperative efforts between the UAE security bodies and their counterparts in Pakistan not only led to the capture of gang leader in his den in Peshawar, but also led to the arrest of three of his accomplices whom had 10 kilograms of heroin, said Col. Al Suwaidi.

The Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General expressed its deepest appreciation for the role played by its Pakistani counterparts and for their immediate cooperation with the efforts that benefitted both countries. The directorate also called upon the public not to hesitate to report any criminal activity related to drug trafficking by calling the toll-free number for ‘Mukafih’ service 80044.

Who’s Who of Indian Criminals in USA

By SearchIndia.com on February 7, 201421 Comments

Indians are increasingly hogging the limelight in America.
And for all the wrong reasons.
I’m speaking of the increasing propensity of desis in the U.S. to commit all kinds of crimes – Violent, Non-Violent, Horrendous, Garden Variety, White-Collar, Sexual, Vehicular, Drug Peddling, Drug Possession, Immigration Fraud and more.
sai-ramesh-maddi.jpg
Sai Ramesh Maddi
Biting, Kicking, Attempted Murder
No crime is above or below Indians in the U.S. these days!
Sociologically speaking, I suppose one way of looking at desi crimes is that the Indian community has arrived.
In other words, Indians are now part of mainstream America!
1f609.png

Now don’t ask me why Telugus and Mallus are higher up on the criminal ladder compared to, say, the bovine Tamils. Perhaps future researchers will prove a link between crime and diet.
I suspect Dum Biryani and Plantain chips are not conducive to non-criminal activity.
Say what you will but Tamils seem quiet on the crime front in North America. After the death of their favorite terrorist Vellupillai ‘whacko’ Prabhakaran, Tamils have had all their violent stuffing knocked out of them!
It’d take me a millennium to compile a complete catalog of Indian criminals in the U.S.
But here’s a short list of some of the most notorious Indian criminals in Amazing Amreeka:
Infamous Telugu Criminals

* Timma R. Kalidindi – Telugu bidda and software programmer Timma Kalidindi, 48, committed murder the old-fashioned way – With a rope. Kalidindi choked his wife Janaki Dantuluru by strangling her with a braided rope in their Francis Drive, Bridgewater (NJ) home on November 16, 2013. Kalidindi, who now faces charges of First Degree Murder, continues to remain a guest of the Somerset County Jail since he lacks the money to post $1.5 million cash bail. Last month, a Somerset County Grand Jury indicted Kalidindi with First Degree Murder and Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose for killing his wife by strangulation. It’s unlikely Timma Kalidindi will ever get to eat Dum Biryani in his life again. Since New Jersey has no death penalty, NJ tax payers are on the hook for boarding, lodging and healthcare expenses of Timma Kalidindi for the rest of his life.
* Sai Ramesh Maddi (DOB: 6/3/1975) – Total whacko! Kicking, beating, biting, stomping and burning of his wife Sireesha Pesala with a heated metal spoon are Telugu bidda Maddi’s specialties. This weirdo’s appeal was denied last year. Currently incarcerated at the South Woods State Prison in Morris County (New Jersey) on attempted murder charges, Sai Ramesh Maddi, a software programmer, is due out on June 24, 2014.
frownie.png

* Raghunandan Yandamuri (DOB: 2/21/1986) – Serial gambler attacked and killed 10-month-old Saanvi Venna and her 61-year-old grandmother Satyavathi Venna in their King of Prussia apartment in Pennsylvania on October 22, 2012. After killing the two Vennas and giving new meaning to the word chutzpah, this cold-blooded monster participated in the search and candle vigils for the victims! The idiot confessed on video to the killings (which he claimed were accidental) but is now singing a different tune and accuses others of being the real villains. Yandamuri, a software programmer, is currently an involuntary guest of the Montgomery County Jail in Pennsylvania. Facing the death penalty, Yandamuri’s trial is scheduled to start May 5, 2014.

* Srinivasa Erramilli – The Aurora (IL) resident and software programmer is a Serial Groper on U.S. commercial flights. Erramilli managed to avoid prison time and received probation for his earlier two “breast” gropings, but his luck ran out after the third incident when he went for the “thighs.” His thighness Erramilli is currently imprisoned at the federal prison in Lisbon, Ohio. Erramilli’s date of release is July 26, 2014.
* Lakireddy Bali Reddy (DOB: 5/20/1937) – California Sex Slaver got into serious trouble when one of the girls he imported from India died under mysterious circumstances. Lakireddy pleaded guilty on March 7, 2001 to trafficking in women and girls into the U.S. to place them in sexual servitude. After a short 8-year prison term, Lakireddy had to register as a sex offender.
* Lakshminivasarao Nerusu – This monster from Novi (MI) butchered his wife and two young children but was so greedy for his own life that he spared himself. This moron thought he could escape punishment by running off to Hyderabad. But the FBI tracked Nerusu in Andhra Pradesh and hauled his brown *** back to the U.S. to stand trial. Nerusu, a software programmer, is currently in a Michigan jail awaiting trial on three counts of Homicide – First Degree Murder Pre-meditated.
* Amit Muddamalle – After a seven-year manhunt, Telugu bidda Amit Muddamalle Livingston was captured in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and extradited to the U.S. for murdering his lover. Amit Muddamalle was convicted in a Texas court in 2007 for the murder and sentenced to 23 years in prison but he fled to India before his prison sentence could start.
* Sujatha Guduru – A nut from Oveido, Florida who killed her 17-year-old daughter in bed but was too dumb to shoot herself properly. If you’re plotting a murder/suicide combo, the least you can do is learn to shoot properly so that you don’t have to face the grim consequences of your grisly crimes and spare tax-payers the cost of the trial. Sujatha is currently in Seminole County Jail (FL). If convicted, Sujatha will disappear from public view for ever.
* Vikram Buddhi – After threatening the U.S. President, Vice President, Defense Secretary and their families with a horrible fate, this whacko quickly found himself in jail with a 57-month sentence. Buddhi should be out of prison by now and is likely in the custody of Immigration authorities.
* Murali Krishna Nookella – This stupid fellow’s over-active libido got the better of him and he exposed his **** on a flight from Philadelphia to Denver. The SAP programmer confessed to “Obscene and Indecent Exposure on an Aircraft” but managed to avoid jail time. The judge ordered Murali Nookella to complete a program of mental health treatment and not travel on Southwest Airlines. Now you know why we refer to Nookella as a ********. By the way, his wife has been repeatedly e-mailing us of late asking us to remove our old posts on Nookella.
Notorious Mallu Criminals

Contrary to what some of you bigots may think, Telugus do not have a monopoly on high-profile crimes in America.
Mallus may be far behind in the criminal rat race but show solid potential.
* Anand Jon Alexander (DOB: Nov 28, 1973) – Mallu fashion designer Anand Jon was a high-profile fella in Los Angeles until his luck ran out. Anand Jon was convicted in 2009 of assaulting several girls and sentenced to 59 years in prison. Unless Jesus performs a miracle, Anand Jon will leave prison only in a wooden box. Anand Jon is currently serving time at the the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, 100-miles north of Los Angeles.

59 Years in Prison
* Mathew Martoma – Serial bad boy was convicted of insider trading on February 6, 2014. After his expulsion from Harvard Law School for faking/inflating his grades, this jackass changed his name from Ajai Mathew Mariamdani Thomas to Mathew Martoma. Unless Martoma succeeds in his appeal, he’s destined for 10-years in prison. That should keep him out of trouble for a while.
* Devarajan Kalathat – The Santa Clara (CA) resident went bonkers one evening in March 2009 and wiped out five members of his family with a newly acquired .45 caliber gun. Devarajan also shot and severely injured his wife Abha Appu, who survived. But in Devarajan’s favor he was smart enough to kill himself at the end of his violent spree.
North Indian Criminals

And if you think North Indians or the highly educated desis are free of the criminal taint, you’d be so mistaken.
Here, take a deko at what some of our North Indian desis have been up to:
* Rajat Gupta – Obscene greed got the better of this multimillionaire, multiple home owner with IIT and Harvard Degrees. The crook passed on confidential information to his hedge fund pal Raj Rajaratnam unaware that the feds had tapped Rajaratnam’s phone. Rajat Gupta was convicted but is still out on appeal.
* Varsha Sabhnani & Husband Mahender Sabhnani – These Muttontown (a small town in Long Island, NY) perfume peddlers were convicted of abusing their Indonesian maids. Varsha got 11-years in prison while Mahender received a 3 1/3 sentence. Varsha was convicted of – hold your breath now – forced labor, peonage, harboring aliens, document servitude, and related conspiracy charges.

Mighty Cruel Indians
* Deepak Jahagirdar – Another Indian in-flight idiot. During a Delta Airlines flight from Dallas to Boston on March 31, 2002, Arizona resident and Harvard MBA Deepak Jahagirdar, 52, couldn’t resist shoving his finger into his 22-year-old co-passenger’s twat. For trespassing into prohibited territory, Deepak got 87-months in an Arizona prison plus $25,000 fine plus 24-months of supervised release!
Tamil Nut-Job

* Karthik Rajaram – Now I believe an IIT criminal is smarter than other Indian criminals. Because after killing his wife Subashri (39), three children (7, 12 and 19) and mother-in-law Indra Ramaseshan (69), Karthik Rajaram, 45, of Porter Ranch (near Los Angeles) turned the gun on himself. If Karthik Rajaram had not killed himself, he surely would have gone to California’s Death Row! Rajaram was broke, unemployed and hopelessly whacko when he committed the quintuple murders on October 6, 2008.
Kannadiga Loony

* Pawan Kumar Anjaiah – This loony software programmer got infatuated with a White girl Danielle Mehlman (26), took her to a motel in Dewey Beach (DE) and knifed her to death on June 18, 2012. Pawan (26) was smart enough to kill himself the next day at a motel in Belleville (NJ) leaving behind a suicide note in which he supposedly confessed to the murder. If Pawan had not killed himself, he’d have spent the rest of his life in prison. And all you dolts still think that Kannadigas are bovine creatures who are forever in a stupor after overdosing on Bisi Bele Bath. Shows how little you schmucks know!
