Government to appoint Hina Rabbani Khar as Foreign Minister - Its rather a "beautiful" appointment

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to appoint Hina Rabbani Khar as the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Express 24/7 reported on Monday.
Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has sent advice to President Asif Ali Zardari for the appointment of Khar as Foreign Minister.
The decision was taken keeping in view the level of Khars comptency and recent interaction at the Foreign Office, sources at the Prime Minister House said.
Khair is expected to take charge as soon as a notification is issued in this regard. She is currently Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
Sources said the decision was taken for the upcoming talks between foreign ministers of Pakistan and India.
The talks are expected to be held by the end of July, with a final date yet to be announced.
The foreign ministers meeting will be preceded by preparatory talks between Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir.

She got the job because, in words of Malcolm X, she is a "house negro". She loves American policies and wars more than the Americans love them. drkjke, She is not his daughter, she is his niece, her father is Ghulam Noor Rabbani Kher.

Anyway, she is corrupt and probably run out of expensive handbags, now she would have plenty of options for shopping in foreign countries. She suits well to PPP, but not necessarily to Pakistan , she has a Management masters and should have kept in the finance department, but after resignation of Shah Mehmood PPP needs another face.

For Pakistan she would be a disaster, mark my word for it.

I saw an interview of her recently and the way she was quoting USA and its policies for the well being of not just the region but the world and humanity its very much clear what sort of education she got for her MSc in Massachusetts .....where she looks at america as the only well wisher of Pakistan and a saviour to the world.

have to dance at their tune and tow their line. As usual Bureaucracy will

I think the real reason for her elevation is protocol in the next forthcoming minsterial talks in India. Probably Pakistan did not want to show the world that they are sending a junior minister for high level talks with an important neighbour or India insisted on protocol.
