Got SCAMMED by Bykea yesterday evening! BE CAREFUL

My sister just got scammed yesterday by BYKEA!! (Karachi)

She ordered a bykea to deliver a parcel. After some time, the app said "aap ka bykea aa gay ahay" (your bykea has arrived). She gave the parcel to the person and he went away.

After 5 minutes, ANOTHER person comes and says HE IS FROM BYKEA..Sis told him she already gave the parcel, but the second guy said there should have been no other guy, I am the bykea you ordered! He then said to cancel his ride... (sis didn't)

Sis called Bykea customer service rep and complained, the Bykea rep said to my sis that its her mistake, why didn't she ask his name!!??? WTF? Why did he mark arrive? How did the 1st man know my sister ordered a bykea? They (Bykea) said ok, we'll forward your complain.

The parcel hasn't arrived. It had precious books! (I am sure when the 1st guy opens it, he'll be dissappointed. BUT sis lost precious books, they were worth more than 5k rupees).

Is Bykea behind this scam or the driver??? Or is it something else?? Has anyone else been scammed as well?

These kinds of scams are possible only with the collusion of some one inside the company..
Careem fired some staff who were over charging passengers ...
Best thing is always reconfirm details and not to trust the service, blindly

Always take a pic of ID of driver !!
send it to someone you know .
Karachi is still full of lowlife thugs or in other words jobless Mqm Walay !

It is quite simple actually. The 2nd rider is behind this scam and working with a partner. When the 2nd rider, who is working for bykea, received your sister's request, he sent it to his partner to pick it up. Once the partner (1st rider) picks up the package, that 2nd rider changed the status to arrived/package picked up so that there is no suspicion of fraud. After the partner leaves the 2nd rider arrives and pretends he doesn't know anything. That is my hunch.

thank you everyone. Yes, I am 99% sure the rider is involved and working with a partner. Bykea hasn't replied to my forwarded complaint yet.

From now on, I will and have told all my family to do the same. Always check the number (we always do it for careem, but never did for bykea as usually its only sending a parcel.. but now, will have to be vigilant)

careem per hum hamesha check kertay hain. always.. but bykea per kabhi nahi kia cause khud nahi jana hota, parcel bhejna hota hay... but from now on..

Parcel to TCS bhi ghar se pick karta hai aur ye arse se business kar rahey hain. Awwal to jis nei bhi business karna hai, woh is tarah ke risk factors ko dekh kar kutch controls apply kartey hain. Bahar Haal, humarey liye sabaq ye hi hain keh naye public affair business pe anda aitaibar na karey.
