I can already tell you this is not foolproof. Here's why: If this strategy is adopted to determine stock market direction in advance to seek investment options that could be profitable in short term, many rogue companies and individuals would develop software which could easily generate automated searches. These software programs can create fake searches just to create a direction for a particular stock or industry. The spam industry has already become very advanced. These programs can be sent as spam to general public (as already being done for different purposes, we all experience it regularly). And then it will run as cookie on your PC without your knowledge. The objective would be to generate same keyword search from different PCs.

It is possible Google would try to combat this behavior but it will be a cat and mouse game!

My 2 cents for anybody thinking of benefiting from this upcoming google technology for investment, just a warning, that's all.
