اشواق بھائی اگر ایم کو ایم ختم ہو گئی تو پاکستان کے متعصبی لوگ مہاجروں کو زندہ کھا جائینگے - چونسٹھ سال بعد بھی لوگ مہاجروں کو ابھی تک پناہ گزین سمجھتے ہیں - اور مہاجروں کی ایک بہت بڑی اکثریت یہ سمجھتی ہے کہ جب لوگ ایم کو ایم کو گالیاں دیتیں ہیں تو حقیقت میں وہ مہاجروں کو گالیاں دے رہے ہوتے ہیں - ایم کو ایم کا نام صرف اس لئے لیتے ہیں کیونکہ سیدھا مہاجروں کو کہنا سیاسی طور پر غلط ہوگا

مہاجر ہونا ایک اعزاز کی بات اس سے یہ پتا چلتا ہے کہ ہمارے والدین نے ملک اور مذہب کی خاطر اپنا گھر کاروبار رشتےدار عزیز و اقارب اپنے بزرگوں کی قبریں اور اپنی جاے پیدائش سب چھوڑ دی

پناہ گزین وہ اہانت کے غرض سے کہتے ہیں محبت میں نہیں کہتے

جیسے آج چودہ سو سال بعد بھی لوگ اپنے آپ کو انصاری کہتے ہیں اگر ہم اپنے آپکو مہاجر کہتے ہیں تو آپکو برا کیوں لگتا ہے ہم آپکو گالی تو نہیں دے رہے

I think Zulfiqar Mirza has screwed Zardari and PPP truly and completely. They all going to vote some smaller nationalists parties.

If I was Zardari, I would have sacked Rehman Malik immediately to save PPP.

Nothing will happen. The man speaking here is Uzair Baloch, head of People's Amn Committee, now a member of PPP, biggest bhatta collector of Karachi.

He along with all the members of People's Committee joined PPP when it was dissolved on request of MQM, their spokesperson Zafar Baloch was made head of PPP District South. He along with 6 other PPP office holders resigned along with Zulfiqar Mirza but theie resignations havent been accepted yet.

This is their anger at having torture cells and cache of weapons discovered in their offices, the offices of Peoples Amn Committee. Nothing will happen, their weapons will be given back to them, new torture cells will be opened and next time they will be voting for Bilawal ZARDARI!!!

Kia 1400 saal baad loag apnay aap ko Mohajir bhi kehtay hai? I don't mind if you consider your parents or grand parents mohajir but I am sure you were born in Pakistan, so it will be more productive to consider yourself Pakistani.

I have few questions for you
1. Why does it bother you if we call ourselves mohajirs?
2. How is calling yourself mohajir less productve?
3. If we call ourselves mohajir, why does it mean that we are not calling ourselves Pakistanis?
4. If you were living in Karachi for 64 years wouldn't you still call yourself punjabi, or would call yourself sindhi?

بھائی ایسے تو پھر افغانی مہاجر بھی کراچی میں رہتے ہیں ، انکا بھی وہی حق ہوجائیگا جتنا آپکا ہے، آخر دونو مہاجر جو ہوے

There are many many punjabis that came from India. But somehow KKarachi urdu speaking people are considered mohajir for some reason. When we say mohajir, no one thinks of Afghans and others but urdu speaking people mostly of Karachi. Its weird.

Answer to your all questions is very simple. Being mohajir is an unfortunate situation. Its not a race or ethnicity. I was travelling and I was considered a "musafar" for 16 hours and after reaching my destination, I keep calling myself a "musafar" for next fews days or decades, what would you think about me?

There are many many punjabis that came from India. But somehow KKarachi urdu speaking people are considered mohajir for some reason. When we say mohajir, no one thinks of Afghans and others but urdu speaking people mostly of Karachi. Its weird.

جہاں تک مشرقی پنجاب کے لوگوں کا تعلق ہے تو وہ تو ہیں ہی پنجابی انکو گھلنے ملنے میں وقت نہ لگنا چاہیے تھا اور نہ لگا اور یہ اچّھی بات ہے - ہمکو ذرا اور وقت لگے گا - اس میں پریشانی کسی کو نہیں ہونی چاہیے -

There is a big difference between Afghani mohajirs and people who migrated from India. Afghanis came to Pakistan to seek refuge for the time being, although most of them refused to leave. Whereas we came here for good, never to leave. Our migration was part of declaration of independence, whether someone likes it or not. No one can ask us to leave. Our forefathers were instrumental in founding this country. They knew that where they were living will not be a part of Pakistan, and most of them will not be able to migrate to Pakistan, but they still struggled and fought for an independent place for muslims of subcontinent. They were selfless people.

If you look at the history you will see that very little struggle took place in the region which is part of Pakistan. Most of the struggle took place in regions which are still part of India. 95% of Bengalis opted for Pakistan and look how we treated them. Only 55% of Punjabis opted for Pakistan, that is the reason we did not get the area of East Punjab.

If you look at this from islamic point of view then there is no difference between Afghanis and us we are one ummah.

Do not twist the things. Yeah 55% Punjabis opted for Pakistan rest were Sikhs and Hindus and thats why Punjab was divided based upon majority areas of muslims and non-muslims, same goes for Bengal.

While all Punjabis from east Pakistan migrated immediately after partition, many of you came long after partition to take up jobs in Karachi on the qouta reserved for migrants by Liaqat Ali Khan. Migration from UP, CP continued till 1955 when the borders were finally closed.

And please do not give us the impression that our forefathers did not do anythign to create Pakistan, if at all it was votes of people in areas today in Pakistan that counted and not the votes in Lakhnao or Delhi.

Dont play Altaf Hussein, Punjab's partition was done by boundary commission not by percentage of votes.
