yes sarfraz should be captain and rest of team was on merit, but its in Pakistani batsmen blood they get so nervous during match n fail, they need psychotherapy and medication for anxiety,

ISLAMABAD: Defeat against India has frustrated every Pakistan cricket fan. And on Tuesday the great Javed Miandad also joined the chorus with some very blunt views on captain Shahid Afridi.
India overcame a fiery spell from Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir to pummel their opponents by five wickets in a key Asia Cup T20 match in Mirpur, Bangladesh, on Feb 27.
Batting first, Pakistan were wrapped up for a humiliating 83 runs as they avoided their lowest T20 score by just 9 runs.
Miandad criticised the national side for its meek surrender but it was none other than the Pakistan skipper who came under his radar.
“How can you have a player who is not reliable. Afridi lost his place in the side a long time ago,” Miandad said while talking to a private news channel.
“How you can expect to win or make your cricket better when a player who has stopped being a reliable performer is your captain,” he added.
Miandad said that due to nepotism and favouritism, Pakistan’s domestic circuit was not producing quality cricketers.
Blaming the Pakistan Cricket Board for poor state of affairs, Miandad said: “Do they not know what is going on? Do they not notice what is happening to our cricket?”
Miandad said the selection committee and the players who do not perform should be sacked. “Many Pakistani players lacked cricket sense and did not have an aptitude for the game.”
He was of the view that the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) had not produced any talent for the national team. “I don’t see any player in the PSL who is so good that he can get a contract in the Big Bash or IPL,” he said.
Miandad, a former coach of the national team, said someone like Virat Kohli was successful in at least 70 to 80 per cent of the innings that he played, while in contrast Pakistani players were rarely consistent.
He said it was saddening to see Pakistan continuously losing to India and recalled the days when Green Shirts used to emerge victorious in most of the matches against the arch-rivals.

Mohammad Asif received a major boost in his quest to return to the national side after he was named the captain of the Sialkot Region team in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy grade-2 tournament.
The tournament, which kicks off from March 5, will be the second major domestic tournament Asif will be taking part in this year after he featured in seven games for WAPDA in the National One-Day Cup.
Asif and former Pakistan Test captain Salman Butt returned to domestic action in the national one-day tournament in January this year, four months after completing their five-year bans for spot-fixing.
The duo, along with Mohammad Amir, were banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for bowling deliberate no-balls in return for money during the Lord's Test against England on Pakistan's tour in 2010.
The three players and their agent Mazhar Majeed were later jailed in the UK.
Nauman Butt, Sialkot Region president, said the 33-year-old paceman had been named captain because 'he was the senior-most player in the team'.
“Since he was cleared by the ICC and the PCB so we have decided to play him,” Butt was quoted as saying ESPNcricinfo.
“It was my request to him to play as captain and players like (Abdur) Rehman, Bilawal Bhatti are going to play under him. None of the players have any problem with our decision and they are all like family members. He is the senior-most player in the team and enjoying the respect that a captain requires from a team-mate,” Butt added
“His behavior has been exemplary during the camp with all the youngsters and I am satisfied with his attitude. I have spoken with every player and they have confirmed that they have no problem at all.”

Pakistani batsmen dont need any psycho therapy ....all they need is a clean cricket board who invests in pure talent and not "tulay baaz" players !...the only technically correct batsman we have is out of the team injured...rest are all hiters who perform once in every 30 matches ..

I think people forgot so quickly that he was the only lion on Indian soil in 2011 WC...after the controversy in 2010 in England Afridi took the team and fought like a Lion. Its better to criticize the PCB and selection committee and the other main batsman who is with the team since last 10 yrs but their performance is like a club level but they are part of Pakistani team.....I just would like to give you two batsman as an example: M Hafeez he's our main opening batsman very average batting like he hit 10 centuries in 175 matches odi and Hashim Amla did in 57 matches only, Q.Dekock hit 10 centuries in 55 matches odi....Umer Akmal is our another batting power house and only Rameez Raja is the one who witnessed his hidden talent and batting power in entire Pakistan.
Without main batting consistence performance how you can win ? Jawaid bhai is great batsman but here he's also after Afridi......Jawed bhai be honest and criticize the entire selection committee and main batsman of Pakistan cricket team .....Jawed bhai you also enjoyed the luxuries of PCB as a director so be honest.....Cricket is a 11 men show so criticize the team it would improve your standard as well.

Hafeez is very average opener, if you pick any team in the world and compere their openers who were with their team for ten years then you'll find Hafeez in the bottom.
Hafeez hit 11 centuries in 175 ODIs and Dekock hit 10 centuries in 55 ODIs, Hashim Amla hit 10 in 57 ODIs, his test average increased because he had a good time in UAE in the last series ONLY. He's club level player if you put him in front line than you can imagine the standard of rest. So please aim high and get rid of this Hafeez and Umer Akmal whose talent is still hidden only Rameez Raja knew about his hidden talent rest of the Pakistan still waiting to witness his hidden talent since last 7 years.
Thank God Illyas is not the selector any more other wise we have to see Imran Farhat beside Hafeez. Hafeez is a professor believe it or not he bump into a wrong profession.
Have you seen a opener in entire world who is with the team since last 13 years and whose average is 32 in ODIs and 22 in T20 ? if Not than check M. Hafeez record, if you keep this kind of standard in National team then forget about winning in front of other national teams soon Afganistan will beat Pakistan if you keep the same behaviour.
