Fake Degree of Dr. Younus Butt Exposed? Hum Sab Umeed Say Hain!

Recently I read an article on one of the Pakistani blogs revealing that Younus Butt writer of the Geo Tv show Hum Sub Umeed Say Hain has either a FAKE DEGREE or NO DEGREE whatsoever.

This guy Younus Butt claims to be a Doctor, however, according to the article he is neither a physician nor a Phd.

It is interesting to note that this guy makes a living out of poking fun at other people and he thought nobody would know about his own short comings.

Btw, on a different note I have noticed on his show that 99% of the material is from different sources and he even copied some sketches from Saturday Night Live probably thinking that Pakistani audiences wouldn't know. He hardly writes anything his show is based mostly on plagiarisim.

he is a graduate of King Edward Medical College .. if u know about this place .. which i doubt .. since its a very repuatble institution .. and why i know this .. for a bloody reason i am saying this .. since he was a couple of years senior to me :)

He is funny and creative. All writers are influenced by some one else or they would not be writers. I read his early books in early 90s. Those were creative for sure. May be he does not have doctorate. At least he is not in Assembly. Many people who are compunders, vaccinators, medical store keepers, nurses are called doctors. Even people who get MBBS can not be called doctors technically. Unless you have MD you should not be called a medical doctor. I know guys who were pre medical student in college are called doctors.

Younus Butt is an MBBS doctor. He was studying with us and is our badge mate.

Somehow people have found a genuine question very offensive, I doubt the integrity of all those responding. And it makes me wonder people trying to fight back on Younus Butt's behalf are trying to attack the person who raised a genuine question?

What makes you think that he kicks anyone's ass?? The government doesn't care about his petty little jokes otherwise they would have done to him what they did to Shahid Masood. Be real !!

You think asking if someone has heard of KE is a good response? My friend KE is an old beaten up medical school in Pakistan, you know nothing about reputable education institutions - trust me on this !!

I think you are spot on that his humor is totally crap and most of the show is just down right dull and boring. The caricatures are mostly pathetic actors whose only qualification is that they very vaguely look like some politician. I have just seen bits and pieces of the 'seemingly funnier' parts of it from forwarded videos on my facebook and if these suck so bad I wonder what the rest of the show would be like?

However since someone replied to your question about him being a genuine doctor or not you didnt really have to go about ripping on K.E. I mean it might not be the snazziest place in medical schools but it has some very distinguished alumni serving all over the world.
Just a thought.
