Talking to Pakistan Today on condition of anonymity, a senior security official said the security agencies werent placing any importance on the tattoo found on the body of one of the 10 terrorists who targeted the Peshawar airport on Saturday night.
The tattoo was at least 10 to 15 years old. There is a strong possibility that he got the tattoo before his indoctrination with terrorist elements. Such tattoos are common in countries like Uzbekistan from where this particular suspect is believed to have belonged, he said.
However, TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told a TV journalist on Monday evening that all terrorists who took part in the Peshawar airport raid were Pakistanis. The terrorist with the tattoo on his back was a Pakistani. Its quite possible that he got the tattoo during a foreign visit, said Ehsan.
