No country has treatment for Corona virus. Not China or USA. Most patients recover on their own without medication in a few days or weeks.

So just keep them in quarentine seperated from other patients. There are many facilities in Pakistan that can do that.

Instead of being scared of it, its better to face it and learn from it. These virus outbreaks are happening very often and we have to prepare for them sooner or later.

Canada learned from the SARs outbreak and those same facilities are making sure that they are completely ready to tackle NaCarona Virus.

Dont leave your countrymen at the mercy of other countries.

Although there is no treatment, these patients may end up requiring intensive medical support including ICU and artificial breathing.

One of the main principles of fighting potential pandemics is restriction of movement to and from affected areas.

Even British Airways has suspended it's flights to mainland China!!!

Again you are wrong, Pakistanis doctor s and experts have explained they don’t have any facilities and treatment remember Pakistan has been under your corrupt leaders last 30 years they didn’t invest on humans or health systems and today we are paying a price. China is more better its dealing with it just Europe and Americans doing propoganda like you’s do in Pakistan,
If these people come and die in Pakistan you and your corrupt leaders will be first ones to blame government.
If there no treatment for low pallets for Nawaz Sharif and he’s gone London then pakistani hasn’t got treatment to flu virus from China.

We need to quarantine you, as u r a bigger threat on this forum than corona virus

I guarantee that if these people r brought back, the virus will spread due to lack of resources and negligence. Next, we will be hearing from the likes of u that we should not have stopped them from coming in.... I know your types, your goal is to only spread hate
This is the real asshole like you . You need to focun see the psychologist and get admission in mental health ward . No nation leave their citizens stranded under these conditions . No one has any cure for this virus but yet , they still send planes and get them out of China. If a person has strong immunity system , he will survive . But the goats like you will never even give a chance to their own people to come back . You are a focun nothing more of a picture of pathetic selfish idiot. A blot on the name of humanity and a ass hole who doesn't care about anyone else but himself.

Exactly , but these chutiyas won't understand what is going on with the families of those who are stranded in China and stay under the constant thread of this virus. They only look after themselves.

Answer my question ..... How should we diagnose , treat and limit an epidemic in case it happens??? No Aain Bain shain plz ..... plain and simple answer ....

So, the Chinese found a cure for this virus ? Would the Pakistanis survive staying there ? It is a responsibility of the Governemnt to take care of their citizens . No matter how hard and how expensive it gets, one has to spend money and get the resources ready to take care of those who are infected. Your question is nothing more than an excuse not to do anything . All you need to do is that bring them back, transferred them to the isolation camps and keep them there for some time . How would you treat , and take care of the people is not something I will tell you here on this forum . You need to come up with solution to solve the problems and not with lame excuses.

Thats not correct. This virus is not as deadly as MERS or SARS. For most people it will just feel like any other flu virus with slight cough, fever etc and it goes away on its own.

Its a good opportunity for Pakistan to learn from NaCorona so that in the future when a more deadly virus of this virus comes out (which it will) we will be better prepared for it.

If we can build nukes we can quarentine our own people and spend some money in human beings to ensure our future survival.

Worst place where we can leave these people is China, they are unable to take care of their own people with atleast 170 deaths. So far no one has died from Corona in any other country.

It is a highly contagious virus with mortality rate of ~ 2% with a much higher morbidity rate (hospitalization, ICU, ect).

This is not only a healthcare issue but an economic one as well.

If it happens to spread even at a small level, we will have a worldwide travel ban with a humongous loss to our fledgling economy.

As mentioned above, even British Airways has cancelled it's flights to China.

Also, China is not allowing evacuation of foreigners from the mainland save for few well developed countries.

Okay now you are over exaggerating. Its nothing more than a highly contagious flu that can be contained by proper quarentine.

Mortality rate outside of China is 0%.
The 2% rate in China is based on official chinese gov infection figures. According to some estimates the unofficial infections in China could be atleast 10 times which brings the actual mortality rate to less than 0.2%.

If we can handle other flu virus then we can also handle Corona.

WHO just upgraded coronavirus to PHEIC (public health emergency of international concern), but without a travel advisory. That's China's magic at work. Regarding quarantine, they think China can do that better than most low socioeconomic status countries with inability to handle a disease burden of this magnitude. Thailand has already declared helplessness with 14 cases and rising. Hence, US may have evacuated her diplomats and so, to be quarantined (kept in isolation till proven uninfected) within US, but there is a documentation procedure and all countries will not be allowed to evacuate their citizens, citing reasons mentioned above. So going TO China is upto you, somewhat restricted due to availability of flights, but getting OUT OF China, is upto them, mainly.

No its not a conspiracy and you need to calm down. All I am saying is, this virus is not as deadly as you are exaggerating it to be. The effects are same as an ordinary flu and if you think I am wrong on this find me a credible source that says otherwise.

WHO took a good step in bringing the international community to work together to contain the virus as I have said its highly contagious. But its nothing compared to SARS or MERS. Which makes it a good opportunity for us to treat our patients ourselves and learn from it to be better prepared for more deadlier versions of this virus in the future. Its the most sane and intelligent thing to do is to think about the future instead of cowering in fear.

I think WHO should have declared it an international emergency weeks ago. They are afraid to anger China. I have seen videos from doctors and nurses in Wuhan, they are already being overwhelmed to provide masks, food and proper care. The main reason why so many people in China have died is that they have failed to provide healthcare to elderly people and immune compromised people on time. So far there are no fatalities outside of China.

Poorer countries at highest risk because they lack basic health care facilities even for normal flu virus. But for countries with better healthcare like India, UK, Canada, USA, France its better to send the people to their own countries to get quarantined. My question is Pakistan is a country of 200 million with nuclear weapons, why aren't we capable of being on that list or even trying?

Wuhan has population of over 10 million and its a hub of transport linking over 200million people. I think Chinese Govt are underestimating how many people are actually infected. The number could be higher than 80,000 which means the actual fatality rate from this virus can be less than 0.2%.

There's the old and gold rhetoric that if health sector had been given the right attention in Pakistan, then poor Nawaz sharif wouldn't have had to go abroad for treatment.. China has around 60 million people under some sort of quarantine with transport to and from affected areas limited. If they can limit info from coming out, then they can also reduce the virus bleeding into adjoining areas. Their controlling manoeuvres might for once, prove useful. As for having a lower mortality ratio, this WHO Press alert wouldn't have happened were that the case. How much stress this alert puts on the Chinese state with respect to economy, trade, movement, etc, is only part of the damage. How they end up faring in this test is an even bigger question. Morbidity could be overwhelming given the highly contagious potential. They tend to downplay internal events so this should be alarming enough. If they've overplayed the risk, then they can only be commended for caution and responsibility, at their own risk. As for capability assessment, no harm in having international teams on ground for help and monitoring. Tough though, this is China.

The WHO Health alert is not because of mortality rate but because how contagious the virus is and vulnerability of poorer countries that do not have basic medical infrastructure. Thus the needed for international cooperation to contain the virus.

No one is saying that is it is as dangerous as SARS.

However, the morbidity and economic impact associated with it is huge and prohibitive for countries like us.

As experts have pointed it out, repatriation even most developed of the countries is not a good policy from global health perspective.

Im not saying bring Pakistanis and then hand them to their families right away.

Put them all under quarantine regardless of whether they have symptoms of virus or not until the infection period is over. Learn proper techniques for quarantine, make future preparations like masks and other equipment. Take samples and send them to our labs and study the virus.

This is how Brazil defeated HIV AIDs. They were a poor country but they invested in research and made their own medicine. While even rich countries struggled to contain HIV because they imported medicine was so expensive.

Its almost inevitable that a more deadly version of this virus will come out in the future and all the warm countries from Japan all the way to Morocco are at a big risk. If we are not prepared for that then what you are saying about economy and mortality will become a reality.

Yes, contain, not take your samples home and start basic research at that point. Heck, who are we to think of the future of viral research with polio certification still required of us at international airports. If there's a vaccine, hopefully all will get it. And as usual, we will rely on foreign research regarding treatment, cure etc. The alert is for the magnitude of morbidity due to the high contagious potential, but that does not mean morbidity is ten times lower, they couldn't possibly have erred X 10. Few days and things will clear out. Incubation period.

Few people with Corona Virus in Europe have already been released from hospitals. Vaccine wont be available until 2021. Best option is quarantine and meds to alleviate flue symptoms.

With the amount of Pakistani and Chinese people travelling between Pakistan and China, it is likely that we already have infections in Pakistan. But regardless, we should be prepared for the worst outcome because from here on, things are only going to get worse.

No country was ready for it when SARS happened, but many countries are ready for Corona because they have experience from SARS outbreak and facilities that they set up at that time.

HIV/AIDS and Coronavirus are like apples and oranges.

One is a chronic disease that is spread sexually and the other one is an acute ailment that is transmitted through droplets.

It is extremely difficult to contain the spread of highly infectious airborne diseases under best of circumstances.

Regardless, China is not allowing repatriation to most of the countries at this time.
