I am glad to see that today' article of Haroon Rashid is similar to my post of yesterday. However, being a very senior journalist he should refrain from his skewed style evidencing his personal dislikes .... For example he suggested Nawaz Sharif as a successor of General Zia ... Everyone knows Nawaz Sharif became a politician under General Zia however since 1999 he acted nothing as General Zia's Successor. So I believe it will be unfair to say this.
Hamid Mir's article explaining background of Air Marshal Asghar Khan is a brilliant read as it explains how this case was initiated and who should be praise today as result of recent Supreme Courts verdict. I am not surprise that Ashgar Khan carries similar history of any other politician we face today. Since independence, more than half of the time period Army was in control so it is not surprise to observe that every politician carries a luggage of supporting Martial Law regime in the past.
Finally articles from Shaheen Sabhahi and Ansar Abasi unleashed the dilemma in which current government is in. So Raja Jani's press conference was pure waste of time and effort and I am sure that PPP will not gain anything out of this. PML(N) is already in a defensive mode which is obvious and will let time to heal this impact.
Real gainer could only be PTI if they cleaned itself from the ones who have rigged elections before or have support martial law regimes before ... whether PTI will be able to do? This is a million dollar question.
