Do we really need a main page with all the thumbnails??

AS guys,

I just wanted to get your take on this.

Our main page is full of images. Do we really need all those thumbnails?
Loading those images every time, really slows down the site. Without them, It will be much quicker. Even on a mobile, it will work flawlessly

Would you like the site as much If we completely remove those or they are a must?

Have you tried today's posts in quck links? It gives you upto date and latest content every time you click on that.

I am not removing them or anything. Just want to see what are your thoughts on it.

I think we need thumbnails coz they represent the thread & attractive.

Thumbnails must be removed to ensure a quicker and easy access to the content. Moreover, it shall make more room for the threads to stay on the home page due to space spared by the removal of thumbnails.


I would request U to please pay attention to "Notifications (thanks, likes, thread tags, mentions)". Restore the previous practice where all the notifications got attended by just one click over the notifications. Now to remove the notification one has to click on all the notifications separately. e.g. if one has 4 notifications one like, one tag, one mention....it takes at least three clicks to clear the notifications. Thanks.

T.nails does not have much effect on the thread so the brother wadaich is right there will be room for more threads also I requested few days ago about the main logo if it could point to the main page rather than forums then it will be really helpful for users having small screen devices.

If we give attention towards the information for entire whole day posted by members then there is no need of THUMBNAILS To miss it.
Secondly, sometime one won't get the pic related to the tittle of the Topic and sometime we post similar thumbnails/pic to the tittle, where people won't get attracted to get in the Topic to read, So it gives relief for such headache .

adeel DADA !!!! why dont you just put the thumb nail of currently hot topics ,and rest daily siasi videos and programs should be put in another thumb nail ??
