Direct letter to mr nawaz shareef save pia do the needful and let merit prevail

What is N league doing to PIA, it needs a new MD / CEO & CHAIRMAN why is the Govt shirking from responsibilities why does it not do the needful.
Is it the policy of the Govt to see PIA fail? have a serious accident with the lives of Pakistanis ?

Mr Junaid is useless and now he has a second metric pass ( now how did he get that job? Interview selection process kaun see thee? ) in reality with his N league connections he is over MD kia ho raha hai?

Where is SC why is selection not carried out on merit? The Applications are in so why not interviews and process started Hajj is fast approaching aircraft are stuck in Russia and the complete PIA infrastructure is in meltdown.

Mr Shareef Allah ko manaana hai to adil bano TUMHARA KABA PAKISTAN HAI AUR TUMHAREE TAWAAF PAKISTANIO KE MADDAD HAI and u will be paid by Allah handsomely...............your country is in crisis and you need to do Umrah?

1. stop your bagora work and stop your jobs for friends... MERIT u said KAHA GAIYA WO VAARDA? If u was doing your job based on your promises SC would not intervene look at the backlash on the DMD position stop this we need professionals not your hand picked touts. We need to SAVE PIA in action and in words.

2. You have applications for MD & CHAIRMAN positions do the country and PIA a service and put a reputable experienced person in who can do the job and you can then go back to governance select on merit and we all know it has to be an overseas person as experience of the magnitude PIA needs is not available from within Pakistan. ( as you cant expect a cigarette Manufacturer to run PIA can you? why tobacco experience is the vital ingredient needed ?)

3. Look at what happen to Chairman you selected and your board, Then Special Advisor and you gave him a ministry to run the Aviation Ministry, where have they gone..........did u learn yr lesson? then selection of DMD? Please help us

4. Put faith back into the Government machinery especially PIA and let Merit be the deciding factor only then Pakistan will turn back from the door of meltdown.

5. That will save PIA and put the respect back into it and faith as do not forget all in PIA do need a leader, that's who you need to select MD / CEO THEN COMMITTEE ETC.

LAHORE, Aug 3: The Pakistan International Airlines has floated a tender for acquiring six planes on dry lease.
“We have floated a tender for acquiring six planes – Boeing and Airbus of short range - in the first phase to meet the shortage of aircraft,” PIA Deputy Managing Director(Operations) Capt Humayun Jamil told Dawn on Saturday.
He said the process of the acquiring the aircraft would be completed in three months. “We are following the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (Pepra) rules in the process,” he added.
Capt Jamil who has a 35 years of experience in aviation further said the flight schedulewould also be revised to check delays. “At present we have to minimize delays through optimum use of existing fleet,” he said, adding right person would be posted for the rightjob and those who were not delivering would be dealt with strictly.
Last year the PIA board had signed an agreement with a company for the purchaser of five Boeing 777 family aircraft.
Under the agreement, new Boeing 777 aircraft were to be delivered in 2015 but owing to their immediate requirement, PIA had decided to acquire at least two of them (Boeing 777) as per Fleet Replacement Plan on dry lease in last September but the plan could not be materialized.
Capt Jamil however ruled out further delay in acquiring the planes on dry lease. “As the board has already approved acquisition of at least 10 planes there will be no further delay. By November six planes will be added to the PIA fleet and after that in the second phase we will get another four,” he said.
At present, PIA is facing an accumulated loss of Rs160 billion. It has 32 planes. Of them 25 are operational and the rest are on “routine maintenance” (grounded).
Capt Jamil criticized those who were propagating against him and the national flag carrier. “I have experience of flying all kinds of civilian aircraft,” he said.

Having a flying experience of more than 35 years and currently serving on the Boeing 777 series, Captain Humayun Jameel has been appointed the Pakistan International Airlines’ new deputy managing director (DMD) for its operations and administration department.

The human resource, administration and coordination department of the national flag carrier issued the appointment order on Thursday.

Muhammad Mashood Tajwar, the PIA public affairs general manager, said that Captain Jameel was appointed on an existing post.

After resuming the post, his name would be removed from the regular roster of pilots. He would fly as per demands and requirements and remain eligible to cover 50 hours of flying in a month.

Jameel’s appointment, however, has also sparked criticism within the PIA and other aviation-related sectors.

Tajwar said: “There was no need to offer another post to a serving pilot. This task can be given to any other professional. Now Captain Jameel will withdraw salaries against both posts that will put more burden on the airline that has been facing serious financial losses.”

How many times has the advert gone in for Aircraft wanted and what has happened to that. You need a board and at least a CEO or Chairman to give statements like that and to address the issues. In a DMD position you should even see who has submitted a tender. Ye Hero's ASAL OR ZEROS........
