February 2014 was the last election for the Amir of Jamaat e Islami and all the 'arkaan' i.e. members of Jamaat e Islami participated. Every member is eligible to be the Amir, but as per the Islamic ruling no one can present himself as a candidate for the office of 'Imarat'. So a member can vote for any member except himself. The next election will be in 2019 so I am looking forward to you to participate :)

Siraj sahab ko jamaat e islami ne senator namzad kiya hai, woh khud apne aapko pesh nahi ker sakte. Isi tarah jesy MPA, MNA aur minister ko Jamaat ki shura namzad kerti hai aur koi aadmi apne aap ko pesh nahi ker sakta. Aik aur binding rule yeh hai keh jab aapko kisi zimmedaari per naamzad kerdiya jaey to aap us se peechhe nahi hat sakte.
