It is very simple, greed and a battle of survival. I mean she belongs to a fraternity media/journalism which if I were to be supple, I'd term as parasitic freeloading. Those who pay her depend on taxpayers' money in the form of ads from the government. No ads and they're worried about their own jobs knowing too well they're on thin ice and anyone of them can get the boot any time due to their lowly ratings.
Supply has exceeded demand and journalist bubble has burst. Instead of focusing on their programing, using their imagination and creativity if there is any, they keep begging the government to provide them with ads. Since that hasn't worked, it's diesel's plan B time trying to exert pressure through coercion.
The audacity when these so called analysts and moral police ask for ads and gov support during their shitshows. The statement "Gov ko media ko support....waghaira waghaira..." may sound like an innocent velvety appeal but when you step back and dissect it. You will realize that it's an open threat to the gov. Pay us or we'll make your life hell. That's when you realize what a cyclopean threat media/journalism has become to this nation's drive towards progress thanks to their.................................................. greed. That is when it hits you these jesters are nothing more than the manufacturers of confusion, because a confused nation is easily fooled. That's when I don't know about you but my blood turns to plasma and the only feeling invoked is that of pure, unadulterated hate for these buffoons.
If printing stories about oversexed zoo monkeys sold more copies, garnered more views, their front pages would be featuring love stories between phatwaris and their slightly less evolved primate lovers.
So she's in a desperate fight for her own survival and since it's a desperate fight, logic has long left her senses.
