I am not a fan of BB or ANY politiciann in Pakistan but you have to give her credit to finally or eventually see what AZ was worth and
was keeping him away from Pakistan and Pakistani politics

Well, we should reserve the right to condemn any rulers or politicians senseless and sometime extra constitutional acts. I abhor military dictators - period! but that doesn't mean that i am putting benazir and every other politician on a pedestal. The purpose of my original post was that if the NRO would NOT have been instituted by the military dictator because he could do that then we would have all been saved this trouble. Imagine the amount of money saved and all these corrupt politicians would have been kept out including zardari.

What we need is implementation of rule of law and let the democratice cycle continue uninterrupted and we will get not the best politicians but if the laws and rules are obeyed and people are aware then these corrupt, idiotic and inept politicians will give way to some people who are at least somewhat capable and honest. There are always going to be corrupt and incompetent politicians but what we need is a critical mass of decent and honest politicians which would overwhelm the corrupt and inept ones.
