I am not sure, where and in which field he did his PhD. It is not uncommon for instance for a degree in Mathematics to have 70% material common, as deriving new theorems and proofs depend heavily on existing literature. I would call it plagiarized if there were no citations, but without further information, it is hard to judge.

یاد رہے کہ ڈاکٹر ہارون الرشید نے اپنے پی ایچ ڈی مقالے میں اسٹوڈنٹس کا تھیسز چوری کیا اور پھر حکومت کی جانب سے انہیں شاندار کارکردگی پر ستارہ امتیاز سے بھی نوازا گیا۔

[h=1]I am sure nothing is going to happen against MR. Haroon since we are living in a country where personalities are far much stronger than institutions. So sad but this is a reality!


Write my words guys: MR. Haroon is so strong culprit that even HEC will NOT do anything against him. Sadly, people having original degrees have to do "khawari" every morning outside HEC for attestation while people having 'jehli' degree (whosoever are they) have red-carpets invitations yes in HEC !!!


This is the MAIN reason of our national dilemma. You show me the face, I will show you the face. If HEC people care about their dignity and transparency, they should PRACTICALLY (not just theoretical statements) do following things:

(i) The institution who gave fake degree should be seriously dealt with
(ii) MR. Haroon should be permanently banned for getting ANY position in ANY Univ.
(iii) If he refuses to return back all the salaries (which he took being a Jehli Dr.), he should be brought in court of law.


For Adminstration at COMSATS and HEC:
Ghareeb jurm keray toh HEC/COMSATS ka clerk bhee shair bann jatay hay, ameer jurm kerain toh silence. Kia khoob insaf hay !!!!
