Suhail has brought those issues which are unfortunately so true, history cant be denied, only and only his stubborness brought 1977 martial law, his plans were to protect himself in power for ever, only and only atomic nuclear issue got him some plus points, otherwise he was perfect feudal ruler, he demolish the whole education system of Pakistan, and we are still suffering because of that decision.
Personally I feels, that this is not the time of going in historical contradictions, every picture have different perspective, and we all look towards that with our own point of view, we should regard each other and should look the need of todays time. and that is to be united and save our soul as UNITED GREATER PAKISTAN.
How do we ignore our past? Almost all the current breed of our politicians (in exception with MQM, you agree or not, it is up to you) also belong to the same ruling elite class which is responsible of our rotten past and present.
Nice to hear from you Paki,
Actually I dont understand you, what do you mean by belonging to elite class, Elite class I believe comprise on those, who can afford to live overseas without performing any earning, Yes I am overseas but in white collar jobs, The only benefit I avail being overseas, I witness every single Pakistani Politician who lived overseas, and believe it they live like Kings, the most Lavish life, we as common people killing our self, contributing towards party funds and making life real great for them, correct me where ever you are not agree with me. You can only experience the truth, when you come close to them and see their attitudes. KING MAKERS.
You are a nice member of this forum, whom I found more realistic, our history is worst because of these politician and our children future is dark because of them.
Regards
Abbasi Bhai:
At some extent you are right. But let me clear you here that if you are pointing Altaf Hussain's way of living in London then you are comparing apple with orange.
I meant the elite class comprise of those people:
1-Whose forefathers got big jaagirs from British empire in exchange of their loyalty to britishers at the time of freedom fight in India.
2- Those who has been living on the treasury of Pakistan and there is no accountability against them so far.
3- Those who became suddenly billionaire from a local foudery owner to a steel giants of Pakistan by suporting the army generals.
4- Those who built surrey palaces and billions of dollars while in power.
5- Those who got their bank loans waved because of their political influence in the Pakistani system.
6- Those whose one brother is in ruling party, another in the opposition, another in the army and another in the bureaucracy.
7- Those who have grand father as senetor, father as MNA, son as MPA and grand son as local govt. nazim.
8- Those when they permit then a Hari can marry his daughter.
9- Those who uses school buildings in their areas as their Autaqs and stable of their animals.
10- Those who always listen to their foreign master's voice and run to them just only on one call.
11- Those who make fool the muslims of pakistan in the name of Islam but support all of the above just because of their petty interests.
etc.etc.
Pleae use your wisdom and tell me where Altaf Hussain fits in the above?
Don't compare a resident of a London's slum area (who is using his 3 bed-room townhouse as his party office also)to the owner of a Surrey Palace.
As you said you live in abroad and do a white color job, so you have a better idea how much a worker like you and me make in USA or Canada.
MQM has thousands of workers all around the world who do blue and white color jobs. They are from a cab driver to top scientists and doctors, engineers, lawyer's and so on. They all contribute to run the international secretariate in London. You do the maths now.
You also must know that at the end of the year everyone has to file a tax. They have to show their sources of income and occasionally they have to go into the process of audit. So, no one can deny his income in western world. Altaf Hussain is not the exception in England.
I hope, now you can understand how Altaf Husaain lives in London.
But still I am not saying MQM is a perfect Party. There is a lot more to do in their journey towards political maturity. But the good thing is that whenever they get a chance they try to improve themselves. May be you don't see this improvement but I do.
Thanks
