at first this thread has reached the end of its interest. but the personalised compelling by that dubiously named "loveandservepakistan" prompted me to reply.
u are saying that its no big deal that he is making underpasses, flyovers etc. well true, its no big deal all over the world, but here in pakistan, having some one doing their duty IS a very big deal. anything can be made by cement and concrete? but was it being made before mustufa kamal took over??? i clearly remember that the liaquatabad flyover took 4 years to complete during the days of KDA, while these days a flyover in a signal free corridor takes 4 months? is this not an achievement or what. you are talking about crimes, rapes and racism...well let me clarify it, the law and order is not something that the nazim controls. heck, he cannot even assign a traffic constable. everything relating to law and order has to come from the Home Minister which is the domain of sindh government, NOT city government. i'd also like to point out that in every city of the world, be it New York or Tokyo, or Jeddah or Tel Aviv, the Mayor controls the metropolitan police, the only jurisdiction above it is the federal law enforcement agencies like FBI etc. so let's not blame ANY mayor of Pakistan for that.
Now you also mentioned racism, i am assuming that you are pointing out to inequal treatment metted out to MQM- and Non-MQM areas. well, my friend, let me tell you one thing, i have to travel up and down korangi and lyari area above korangi creek road which is highly dense PPP stronghold. i ask you to travel from korangi crossing to brook's crossing in korangi and then compare it with shahra-e-faisal or shahra-e-pakistan. if u even NOTICe any difference in the quality of roads or pavement, then blame ME! it is very easy to point out 'discrimination in ethnicities' in karachi and blame it on Mustufa kamal, or MQM, but do understand, that with a city like Karachi, u have a multitude of ethnicites living in strongholds every where. i will tell you one thing, a few months ago a mob of crazed pathans in Banaras area of Karachi started stopping buses, taking Urdu-speaking men and women and children out of them and then they tortured using means i cannot even explain here. what will you to the ethnic discrimination from the other side. and before you or anyone else mentions it as a "strong protest", "reaction" or whatever, let me tell you that this area was one the first that got a facelift in his tenure.
Now altaf hussain, i do understand that this man is weird, surely. but let me tell you one thing, every other political party suffers most from its own leadership. i know he got carried away when making the speech in india but it was overplayed here in pakistan and portrayed as an anti-pakistan statement. MQM's workers have a hard time defending it and they too have serious doubts in altaf hussain. MQM has changed a great deal in recent years. i dont think it'd be fair to label them as the old CD-70, kalashinkov political party that they used to be. but do be sure to point out to every other party leader when u are blaming of running a party from foreign lands. Benazir did that, Nawaz sharif did that and even asfad yar wali does that. do u not think that PML-n would be better served under the leadership of Ch. Nisar, and PML-Q under Mushahid Hussain, and PPP under Raza Rabbani or Amin Fahim and Finally, MQM under Haider Abbas Rizvi????

I think, you are so blind and are not able to see or visualize the truth or facts. That approach has given roots to the corrupt and privileged classes to rule the country and all the leadership of MQM is playing the role as the agents to continue the existing system. MQM was created by the military dictators to divide and uphold the corrupt system and they are still success in their aim due to the negative attitude of the foolish peoples of Karachi who support MQM.

In order to keep the record right, I want to draw your attention toward the following facts:

- the privileged class launched a movement against the popular leadership of Bhutto in 1977. It was completely sponsored by the foreign elements whose interests were to eliminate the leadership in the world who challenged their imperial role and organize a popular movement against their interests. In that occasion they used their partners (privileged classes) of Pakistan who mostly represent the urban areas of the Pakistan. The leadership of these urban centers particularly of Karachi and Hyderabad was dominated by the religious parties (jamiat Islami and JUP).

- it is evident that these religious groups won about all the seats of these urban centers and then they start agitation against Bhutto for so-called rigging on the instructions of their bosses. The movement was confined to these two cities only for about 1 1/2 month from where these privileged religious class won all the cities.

- when they were not getting support from any of the other part of the country representing the lower class, then the foreign bosses planned to start agitation in Lahore and they sent peoples of these parties to Lahore to start agitation their. They financed and supplied big money to do it. The flow of dollars in that movement was so evident that the dollars value was went down against Pakistanis rupee.
_ when they start agitation in Lahore at the end of April by theses conspirators and foreign funded religious parties, the establishment came to play their due role in accordance to the plan to dislodge the Bhutto by the army.

- after dislodging Bhutto the establishment was of the view that now in future they can't use these religious parties against the popular movements, as the peoples were fed up with their slogan of "Islam". They start to find some other slogan and new groups to organize to crush any future popular movement and in this connection they finalized to launch an ethnic grouping in the urban centers. They worked on different peoples to create that group and many seasonal and patriotic Urdu speaking leaders refused to become the part of that conspiracy and finally they selected Altaf for that purpose. They worked with them and simultaneously on the Sindhi nationalist to support to create and enforce the ethnic Urdu speaking party. The first training of this group was done by the ISI and G M Syed. When after the training the group first demonstrated its strength at quaid Mazar in 1978-79 by burning Pakistan flag.

- the establishment arrested and then he was freed and sent to USA for further training and organization. The Establishment launched the party in 1986-87 at the eve of return of Benazir Bhutto to Pakistan to lead the popular movement and to show the strength and aspiration of the oppressed peoples of the country.

_ after its launching they are playing the role of the agent of the establishment and privileged classes with the sole object to divide and crush any popular peoples movement. It is evident from the role they played against the "No confidence" motion against Benazir Bhutto being the partner in the government. after the defeat in assembly they created a big and brutal operation in Karachi and Hyderabad with the help of the establishment to destabilize Benazir government and then they played each elected government to whom they always were the partners.

- as far as the so-called operation against MQM by the establishment is concerned it is on the record that there were a fight in between the MQM on the distribution of the "Bhatta" and Altaf want to get rid of some of them. He with the collaboration with establishment launched operation against him opponent and left Pakistan just before the operation direct from the Abbasi Hospital as per his planning of the operation. From that day he never visited back on the instruction of the establishment and the foreign powers who want him to be alive to achieve their objectives.

- most of the poor peoples are now the hostages of the brutal force of MQM and they live like slaves there. From the creation till now the real face of MQM is exposed to everyone and no sincere element in the county support them.

- as far the murders of the peoples in the operation 1992 against MQM is concerned, it is noted that they never launched any FIR or conducted any enquiry for that while they were and are in the government all the times. It is enough to establish that the operation 1992 was carried out by the establishment and Altaf together.

Let’s examine the biggest land grabbing cases in Karachi committed in the last 30 years:

1- In scheme 2 (North Nazimabad), scheme 16 (F. B. Area), Scheme 24 (Gulishan-e-Iqbal), Scheme 33 (Gulizer-e-Hijari) in particular and in other parts generally, the residential/ amenities etc, plots were allowed to convert into marriage halls/ lawns. In amounts to lost of Billions to the Government and public and benefits of billions to the owners (land grabbers).

2- - Residential/ amenities plots were allowed to convert into others commercial uses and billions of lost to the government in the infra-structure and billions of benefits to the owners (land grabbers).

3- Allowing extra floors and covered areas to the hundreds of thousands of owners (land grabbers).

4- Allotment of land to the land grabbers on the water board conduit and on other utilities land.

5- The biggest single case of land grabbing is one that was committed in the recent past by MQM Minister of Housing in Musharraf era. MQM illegally allowed the ownership rights to the federal government employees residing on the Government flats/ apartments/ houses at federal capital area, Pakistan quarters etc. etc. The residents were given some money and their sale agreements were executed in favors of builders (land grabbers) by MQM. Then these land grabbers converted this government assets and land values Billions and Billions to commercial uses. The interested part of the story is that the approval of this was not even legally obtained by MQM Minister from the Musharraf’s cabinet. When this illegality was highlighted by the present government housing minister, and he promised to do the justice, but the Zardari government stopped to take any action in this matter.

If, the above biggest land grabbing cases are investigated and the government losses recovered from these and land grabbers then the amount will be enough to run the present day deficits and foreign loans of Pakistan.
Further the officers / officials/ politicians’ involved in these land grabbing cases punished then we can stop the land grabbing in future and to provide justice to the nation.
