There are two chairlifts and both are covered under the same ticket (keep your tickets save as they need to be checked at several places). The ticketing is not very clear; we had to ask someone after we parked the car. You have to queue for the tickets and if you are in a group, it is easier if one/two people queue only. Once you have purchased the tickets, the entrance for the first chairlift is behind the ticketing office.
The first chairlift is a two-seater and be careful when sitting as the careless staff will just push you on the seats. They have three types of seats and one you get depends on what type comes when it is your turn – no cover, back covered, head and back covered. The safety aspect is very questionable and the attitude of the staff does not help either.
The second lift is completely closed and is shared with other people if you are in a small group or alone as it can seat eight people; three lifts are grouped together when going around.
After you have gone up the first chairlift, you do not need to go the second lift straight-away, there are places to eat, shops and areas to look around. The same applies when going down, where you can stop if you like, but we decided to go straight down.
On the chairlift you will get the best views of Murree and if you are taking pictures being careful on the first chairlift as you could drop your camera or phone.
