ARY NEWS and GEO NEWS have been taken off the airwaves

Just like the blackout experience during emergency in Nov.2007, again the same thing has happened. Channels which covered the shoe incident have been taken off the airwaves here in Karachi. Cable operators were intimidated thru threatening calls coming from Bilawal House[PPP headquarters in Karachi] but situation got worse when firing took place outside major cable operators' premises. Refusing initially of taking down the channels they conveyed their concerns to higher authorities, after not getting any sort of co-operation from them and fearing "repercussions" cable operators have decided of remove the channels indefinitely.
