Allah Ta'la Karachi k logon ko apni hifazat mein rakhein. . :(

KARACHI: At least 15 people, including children, journalists and security officials, were injured in three separate bomb attacks targeting Shia Muslims in different areas of Karachi on Wednesday night, DawnNews reported.
Initial reports suggest that an Imambargah near Pahar Ganj area was the apparent target of the unknown attackers in the first two explosions. The blasts were so loud that they were heard from afar. Windows of nearby buildings were also shattered.
A vehicle was reportedly destroyed in the first explosion which took place at 9:40pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST). Upon clearance by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and security forces, the second blast occurred at 11:03pm at the same location.
According to police, around half a kilogram of explosives were used in the blasts. However, the nature of the explosions was yet to be ascertained.
The third blast took place in a North Karachi neighbourhood when unidentified attackers hurled an explosive near a procession of Shias, injuring a police constable.
The injured were taken to several hospitals around the city, including the nearby Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Meanwhile, taking notice of the incident, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has ordered security to be put on red-alert in the city.
Security had already been put on high alert across the country to thwart terrorist attacks during the holy month of Muharram, when Shia Muslims mourn the seventh century martyrdom of Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), along with his family members.
Shias make up around a fifth of Pakistan's predominantly Sunni Muslim population.
Police and Rangers forces were already carrying out operations against criminal and terrorist elements to curb sectarian and political killings in the port city. Karachi, a city of 18 million people which contributes 42 per cent of Pakistan's GDP, is rife with murder and kidnappings and has been plagued for years by ethnic, sectarian and political violence.
