Oryan is 100% right! fact of the matter is the majority brailvis were in support of Pakistan while the minority of deobandis were in support of Pakistan, the biggest example is only one Deobandi renowned aalim Allam Shabbir Ahmed Usmani (ra) was in support of Pakistan otherwise no other bigger scholar of that time related to debandi school of thought was in favour of Pakistan.

Even Molana Maudodi (ra) was not in favor of Pakistan in the beginning but later he migrated to Pakistan, but one can disagree with him politically but no doubt Molana Maudodi (ra) was a religious scholar of high class and it is so unfortunate that people like him in the beginning used to oppose Pakistan!

But look at the irony of times! Now in the current era the political mullahs formed the Difa-e-Pakistan Council and all of them are related to deobandi school of thought!

I personally dont believe this divide of deobandi and brailvi! interestingly both belongs to fiqha-e-hanfi! so we should just stick to our fiqha and no need to follow thses school of thaughts!

the red highlighted part is the biggest distortion of South Asian History! kindly read the history n specially read the elections of 1945!
the biggest sacrifices for Pakistan was given by the Muslims of Hindu Majority areas like UP, Bihar, CP, Bengal, Punjab etc etc!

only the mullahs were against the creation of Pakistan, while on ground 80% muslims of subcontinent were in favour of Pakistan (according to the data of 1945 general elections) Muslim League won all the Muslim seats of assembly in 1945 and that was the sign of people getting distant from the congressi mullahs!

Molana azad was from Congress and do u know wat Quaid-e-Azam used to call him the "show boy" of congress! and it was azad prediction that Pakistan would not remain one country and sadly it came true in 1971! (sorry from distracting from the main point)

Original Deobandis ? Deoband is a town where the head quarters of deobandis is based. They are the original deobandis. Most of the muslims in subcontinent were in favour of Pakistan and this is why 70% of muslims opted to live in Pakistan (including the current Bangladesh). Sindh parliament was the first assembly that passed the resolution in favour of a separate Pakistan and after that the rest had to follow.

According to above statistics (as shown in the diagram), the literacy rate of Pakistan during the year 1951 was about 16%.

What do you expect from a country having majority of illiterates. What kind of believes you may expect from them. Majority of these illiterates were inspired by Hindus and their culture and hence they allowed amalgamation of Hindu rituals into Islam.

It is very clear from above verses that there is only one straight path and Muslim are ordered by Allah to follow that path. NOT like a common saying that division in Islam is rehmat (blessing). The one and only straight path is following Quraan and Sunnah, period (full stop).
