Barelvi is a misnomer used for non-deobandi sufism followers. Barelvis are those UP origin muslims who follow a man called Ahmed Raza Barelvi.

Anyways the majority of sufism followers supported Pakistan but Ahmed Raza Barelvi's descendants still live in India because they did not accept Pakistan. So technically the head of Barelvism did not accept Pakistan in 1947. He preferred to remain in India (Ahmed Raza's son).

Majority of Deoandis opposed Pakistan. So much so the twelver Shia headquarter which is based in Lukcnow also did not accept Pakistan and preferred to stay in India. The head of Ismaili Shia Agha Khan accepted Pakistan though.

Some Barelvi followers did eventually migrate in 1947 but technically the head of Barelvism (Ahmed Raza's son) at that time opposed Pakistan. His descendants still live in India and his grand son is one of the most influential clerics amongst Barelvi circles.

BTW just being off topic but worth reading, Mullah Ahmed Raza Barelvi's scientific discovery & fatwa that the earth does not rotate around the sun lol. Hope you negate such unscientific views.

Lolz what a response. As I said the sufism related people were the ones who really gave the push but the Barelvi headquarters (Barelvi Mullahs including Ahmed Raza's son) were against the creation. So much so that his son opted to live in India in 1947. What bigger evidence do you want ? His son was Mullah Ahmed Raza's successor. I do agree that many Barelvi followers opted for Pakistan but not the headquarters. BTW you need to read more about Ahmed Raza's scientific theories. Ahmed Raza declared Jinnah Kafir and sooner he declared Deobandi Kafir and after that Deobandi declared barelvi Kafir. All of these then declared Shias Kafir. Shia declared them kafirs then. Then it comes Ahmedi, All sects declared Ahmedi kafirs, Ahmedi then declared Kafirs to all. Isamili was declared kaFIR by shias and followed by sunnis. Ismailis then declared other as kafir. And it goes on and on. So actually we all kafirs...:)

Lolz man I know its a shocker for a cult follower like you. Looks like I would have to inform you about your mullahs as well. His son's name was Mustafa Raza Khan who was titled Mufti-e-Azam Hind and he preferred to stay in India. He died in 1980s and is buried in Bareili. Ahmed Raza had other sons too and one of them was Hamid Raza but he died in 1943 though he too never participated in the struggle for Pakistan's creation. I repeat again, none of Ahmed Raza's descendants live in Pakistan, infact, they hate Pakistan. I have already talked about Deobandis, those whose origins were within the boundary of Pakistan were very far and few and their votes hardly mattered. Most of the Deobandis lived in UP & Eastern Punjab.
