Babar Awan Charged 35 Millions to Influence Court Decision

Sheikh Afzal, the main accused in the Rs9 billion financial scam at the Bank of Punjab (BoP), on Tuesday revealed before the bench of the Supreme Court that he paid Rs35 million to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Babar Awan for winning the case in the apex court.

He alleged that Dr Babar Awan took Rs40 million, Sharifuddin Pirzada Rs10 million, Malik Muhammad Qayyum, the then attorney general, Rs20 million and Ali Waseem, the son of Waseem Sajjad, Rs7.5 million.

Afzal said Dr Babar Awan took Rs5 million as fee and Rs35 million for getting a favourable verdict from the then Islamabad High Court.

Wonder what is stopping SC from order to file cases against Ghobar Awan and Badmuash Pirzada. Now you have a statement given on oath.

There are many of the judges who are corrupt but most of the time judges are sold without their knowledge. Many of the lawyers now ask for two fees when discussing a new case, one for services and another five to ten times of the first fee, depending on strenght in the case. This fee is for surety that the client will win the case.

If the client wins that additional fee goes in lawyers pocket and if he loses, excuse is that the opponent's lawyer has paid double to what we were paying.

In fact in very few judges receive any of these 'fees' and even when they do, it is only a small percentage of what the judge has been sold for.

Lawyers are in a win win situation.

Giving Islamic Lecture is his Islamic duty and collecting fees is economic duty and the poor chap called babar awan (have you seen the nice cute white beard on his corrupt face) is trying to balance both and you people are after him. He is chela of ZOREDARI. What ever he does it too little.
