Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz said Saturday that his government was preparing a bill to create a standardized German language version of the Koran, to prevent the misuse of the Muslim holy text.
The minister also responsible for integration policy, said that the bill will allow Austrians and Muslims access to the original content of the Koran, without distortion or misinterpretation, developed by Islamists for terrorist purposes.
The Austrian Muslim community will offer an official version based on a translation "redacted", which will be integrated into the 1912 law on Islam in Austria, rebuilt for the occasion.
