And there is no wadera in PTI???
Care to tell me what position does Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Javed Hashmi and Jahangeer Tareen Holds in PTI???
Care to tell me what Lagharies, Malik rather Malkanies of Mianwali doing in PTI??
Who joins PTI is not the issue here. The issue is whether they behave as waderas while members of PTI or not. So far, I have not seen any waderaism from IK, SMQ or JH or JT. They were made to declare their assets. Their assets were evaluated by Justice Wajihuddin. They were put through the same mechanism that everyone went through. Noone in PTI bows to them, or considers only them as capable of being leaders. Not sure if you remember or not, but PTI followers were pushing Asad Umar to run for the post of Chairman against Imran Khan, which Asad Umar himself declined.
As for the internal elections, you seem to be getting your knickers in a twist, for no viable reason. You just blurted out a bunch of statements with no proofs or backing. Were the elections smooth? No. Were they completely fair? Perhaps not. Was there any managed rigging by the leadership? Certainly not. Because if there was any, then tailors and rickshaw drivers would not have won district presidencies.
This was a huge election, conducted in a short time, as a matter of principle. It was a commendable effort. It was a great stepping stone for the future. Sure it had teething problems, but that was to be expected, since there is no precedence of such power delegation within a party in Pakistan.
Problem is, followers of status quo parties are so used to hearing and believing bullsheet coming from their leaders, its almost music to their ears. PPP still thinks the last 5 years were good. PML-N still thinks it was successful in its previous 2 tenures, despite the fact that they took the country to the brink of bankruptcy on both occasions. MQM thinks goonda raaj is not just a film. Its a way of life. And there is a sadly large segment of our public that believes in one of these status quo parties. It will take time...perhaps a whole generation...but things will change. PTI may not be the best thing since sliced bread, but it is a start. Maybe some other party will come out to pull Pakistan from the abyss it is in, but I dont believe it will be PPP or PML-N or MQM or ANP or JUI or JI.
