Army's one days expenditure is equal to Health & Education one year's budget - Maulana Fazal ur Rehm

Research in sociology proves that in social organisms a somewhat subtle system of forces is always at work. The equilibrium among these forces is a continues tussle. Now in our context, there have been a strong focus on the security state (as a result of the prevailing circumstances) in the last three decades. PPP did serve the people (or at least tried to do it) in its first tenure (i.e., under ZA Bhutto), but in the last three tenures it has simply not. The current regime in undoubtedly the most corrupt of all in Pakistan (see e.g., Transparency International's reports). Corruption, nepotism, and bad governance are remnant in the current regime. Hence, the all needed 'moral authority' of the civilian government to shift the balance away from the security state is missing. Lets be honest to accept that the educated so-called liberal fractions of the civil society have supported the current regime despite its eminent failure to govern. One has to lead from the front instead of always blaming others and ranting about 'conspiracy against democracy' which has been a hallmark of this regime.

Lastly, you are confident about your victory in the next elections not because of your performance, but you want to misuse the sentiments of poor rural people of Sindh and S. Punjab. Also, you think you can buy the election as you successfully buoyed every political party in this term.

I'm amused to the core to read your biased piece of junk material which spells nothing but open biasedness against PPP governments past and present. Not going into too much details to save energy for something useful instead of fabricated stuff I would just ask you to go against the government in the courts and file a petition citing transparency international material. You can do it after all you have so much pride and patriotism for the country, what are you waiting for ?

Our victory in the coming elections will be due to our performance and people from all four provinces will vote for us in huge numbers. Yes an additional factor will help too which is the lack of any stronger and better alternative in the eyes of people, I mean look at Nawaz league and PTI .... oh come on, hope you aren't placing your bets on them.... are you ?

How many seats PPP wins from educated masses cities? like Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar or Karachi... one example of Karachi-Lyari seat that has been deliberately kept backward since 70's. Majoirty poplulation consist of illitrate makrani/baloochi pulling donkey carts and providing labor work for KPT or famous for illigal activities. Same govt doing with pakistan. Look at the education buget drastically reduced in last 4 yrs but President/PM House budget went up. Atleast Bilawal zardari and Mosa gilani are foreign educated to rule our coming generations...

Consider what is said, not who said it! It is time we call spade a spade. Whether it be the daily corruption figures, the exorbitant overhead expenditures on this inefficient system of governance, the alarming pilferages and leakages in almost every government organisation, the phenomenal expenditures of this impoverished country on maintaining a heavy armed force, all must be addressed. Molana Fazalu Rehman is of course part of the problem. It is because of unscrupulous leaders like him that we are in this quagmire sinking fast into bankruptcy (both financial and moral). New system based on Meritocracy must be given a chance, other wise we shall continue loosing ground with every passing day until ....

You have hence strengthened my perception of PPP supporters. The reason and logic is useful only if one's argument is in favor of you. The moment you are challenged you start your ranting mantra 'oh you are biased, it is a conspiracy, you are establishment's agent, ...' I request you to engage in dialog and tolerate other's point of view.

Many people did consider going to courts against the corrupt governments (see e.g., the recent rental power case), but the government almost always applies delaying tactics and administrative pressure to avert or mislead the prosecution. When the courts decide some cases the government doesn't accept the decisions, and instead ridicule them. Here I want to make it clear that our police and judiciary (specially lower judiciary) are corrupt, politically influenced and non-professional.

Taking your 'take-it-to-the-court' argument further, it is relevant to ask a question that how can you give the certificates of being establishment agents (e.g., Hassan Nisar, although I disagree with him on many issues) without even hinting about any proofs.

There are evidence that the shareefs and their cronies have also been corrupt like zardari and co. And the PTI has to come into power so that it can be assessed. Lastly let me summarize my whole argument in the following words of Ahmed Faraz:

شکوئہ ظلمتِ شب سے تو کہیں بہتر تھا
اپنے حصے کی کوئی شمع جلاتے جاتے
(احمد فراز)
